Calicut Parivar Restaurant & Catering

Visited in May 2025, three people: Excellent food and good service! We (three Europeans) were looking for outdoor seating area instead of sitting inside a cold/freezing (AC) restaurant. Initially we were told that we could have only drinks outside. However, we were lucky and the manager was very kind and permitted us to have a table outside and have also food there. Our waiter was very kind and attentive and helped us with the food selection. We ordered some soup, the spring chicken, beef stew and some bread/porrota. Everything was freshly prepared and nicely spiced. We enjoyed the food. Particularly the chicken was very tasty. The sauce of the beef stew was very yummy as well, the beef was a bit chewy though. Recommended place.

One can experience the taste of Calicut food at parivar restaurant. We had the fish meals with kallummakkaya fry, Egg fried rice and Paneer chilly dry. Everything was great and the ambience too.

A new addition to Calicut's food scene from the legacy of Sagar and Old Parivaar Hotel, Kunnamangalam. The food is decent, offering a familiar taste reminiscent of traditional eateries, unlike the modern, flashy hotels. The quality is very good. The staff are friendly and decent. However, the serving speed needs improvement. Although it's a converted house, the restaurant's aesthetic quality is impressive. Simply good!

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! For lunch, we enjoyed their chicken biriyani, which was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and truly satisfying. Later, for dinner, we had chapathi with egg curry --a delicious combination that hit all the right notes. What really stood out were their homemade drinks and snacks -- a true specialty of the place. Every item had a unique, authentic taste that made the meal even more memorable. The hospitality was top-notch , with every staff member being professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made sure we were comfortable throughout, making the whole experience feel warm and personal. A huge thank you to the entire team at the hotel for making our visit so enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and exceptional service!

We had Meals and Kallumakkay Fry and we also had alfaham , Naan and butter chicken. The food is really good for the price. Well cooked and tasty. The restaurant is neat and clean. Staff is kind and helpful.

Nice ambience, well maintained restaurant. Tried their meals and noodles, both were good. Kallummakkaya fry wasnt that great.

Food and atmosphere is amazing . We ordered the meals and fish fry . Unfortunately they took more than 25 minutes to serve the meals even the store is not rush and not fully seated and they forget to serve the fish fry also . They must improve the service

I have been visiting calicut parivar daily for the past few days and i really loved the place and the staff. Biriyani both beef and chicken is good. The atmosphere and the staff at there are so good. The only problem at here is the mosquito and that too if you are sitting outside. If you are planning to dine in with family friends or with your partner this place is good for all these
