Paddy Fields Restaurant

Visited this island restaurant recently and had a good experience. They offer both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Kerala thalis served on banana leaves, though I haven't tried them yet, so I can't comment on the taste. The place also has cold drinks, soda, and chips for some light snacking. The staff here is very courteous and helpful. A unique highlight is the trained eagle, with whom you can take fun pictures--definitely a memorable activity! The washrooms were very clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall positive experience.

Food is great but there is a place called TASTE OF INDIA nearby which is better. Carimeen fish and tiger prawns are the best here. Price per person is 125 for rice and sides. Almost 1000 per kg for fish and 500 for prawns. Location is right next to backwaters where your shikara or house boat stops

Not worthy for the money we spend, They are getting customers thru houseboat and Shikkara and giving commission to them. We have ordered Fish , Prawns and chicken 65..They overcooked the food and was not at all tasty...For fish they are looting double the amount than original....Highly not recommended

We had normal kerala thali, it was not bad. But we had better thali in other places that too in the same price range. But first they ask us to choose which fish we want to eat. Option was prawn (2 pcs 400), black pomfret (2 pcs 500). We have asked for prawn. They deep fried it, the taste was so bad, it almost taste like Rubber with some smell of prawn. Not recommended at all.

Best hotel in backwaters.All shikari boat drop you here for lunch.Veg thali with fish curry and an optional chicken,prawn and various fish fries available.Good lunch for a day in backwaters..Must try if you are there ......

This place provides traditional Kerala food along with fresh seafood options. Most of the shikara boats drop you here for lunch. Thali with selected fish curry and an optional chicken, prawn and various fish fries available. It was nice expiwrieance having lunch beside backwaters. Finally a decent budget hotel at Allappzha backwaters. Also they have an eagle, you can take pictures with.

It's South Indians food restaurant , we ordered food normal Kerala rice and sambar, karimeen price is high but it's tasty and original.. some people commented the karimeen is Thilapia, no it's original karimeen. Toilets are not cleaned!! Dining area well ventilated and clean .. dear owner, if you read my pls tell your staff clean the toilets regularly Thank you for your service

Amazingly fresh food. Great hospitality. Very friendly and delicious lunch with fresh fish
