Evergreen Continental

Evergreen has been one of my go-to restaurants whenever I'm in my hometown. Their chicken biriyani is hands down the best--consistently delicious for over 20 years. I've visited countless times, and they never disappoint. Some of my other favorites here are the porotta, chilly chicken, butter chicken, shawaya, and Alfaham--each one packed with flavor. The overall experience is always great, with decent customer service and a pleasant ambience. Definitely a must-visit spot if you're in the area.

The plate shawarma is containing a plate with 2-3 days back dried chicken , I don't know how to explain the feeling I had after tasting this, please don't order their evergreen special plate shawarma. We had hot and sour soup, mexican, peri peri, pepper Alfaham, which were all flavourless. Also we had mixed fried rice and chilly chicken, both were tasteless. Overall we will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. They were not serving quality foods for their menu price.

I've visited Evergreen Continental in Pathanamthitta several times. The food is quite good, with a nice variety of options that are enjoyable. However, the shop is often overcrowded and very noisy, which makes it hard to relax or have a proper conversation while dining. Another major issue is the limited parking space, which is a big inconvenience, especially during busy hours. If they could improve the seating arrangement, manage the crowd better, and provide more parking, it would really elevate the overall experience. Still a decent option if you're focused on just the food.

Food was very poor quality and taste. Egg. Noodles was bland and sticky. With no taste. Mushroom curry and chicken curry same gravy. Porotta was hot and crisp.

Very bad food. I ordered chilli chicken, there is no chicken in it. Please have a look at the uploaded photo. What you see is leftover without any chicken. It doesn't taste like gravy either, but seems like whatever was left in the dish was fried again making it unchewable. Same goes with fried rice, tasteless and chicken was like rubber. Guys make sure, you don't get it delivered but dine in the restaurant itself, at least you can say something to owner face to face and show him.

I ordered from this place recently. The food was just okay -- not bad, but not great either. The real issue was with the delivery. It was delayed much longer than expected, and there was no proper update or communication. The overall ordering process felt unorganized and unprofessional. If they can improve their delivery service and ensure timely orders, it might be worth trying again. But as of now, I'm quite disappointed

*My experience today, 1 June 2025* Had a letdown at @Evergreen, Pathanamthitta today. Ordered our favorite Chicken Biriyani, but the plate was subpar. Despite being hot-washed, it still had dried food particles and felt rough. I ended up rinsing and wiping it clean with tissues. I have intimated this experience to the cashier/manager and hope that he will look in to it. A friendly reminder to all: double-check your plate before eating @Evergreen Continental, Pathanamthitta. Might save you from unwanted surprises.
