Hotel Valavil is a modest eatery located slightly off the main highway in Perumbavoor town. Despite its somewhat hidden location, small directional boards guide visitors to the spot. The restaurant features a dining area that accommodates about 20 people and is housed in an older building with a traditional tiled roof. The meals are served on banana leaves, accompanied by a variety of fish fries and beef dishes. During my visit, I opted for the meal with Ayala (mackerel) fry and a side of mini beef. One notable aspect is the impressive array of side dishes and gravies that come with the meal. The side dishes include thoran, pachadi, achar, chammanthi, salad, and theeyal, while the gravies feature sambar, moru curry, manga curry, meen chaar, and moru. However, it's worth mentioning that pappadam was not part of the meal, which could be seen as a drawback. Given the limited seating, it's common to see patrons waiting outside for a spot. Many locals consider this a go-to place for their lunch, appreciating the good taste of the food. Cleanliness levels are average, but the variety and flavor of the dishes make it a worthwhile visit. The establishment is noted for its traditional approach to serving meals, which adds to its charm.

If you are looking for Kerala style meals with fish fry, this is the best place in Perumbavoor. Food is served in banana leaf and served hot . They offer only meals during lunch time with a variety of fish items . Meals will cost you 50 rs( may 2018) and fish price starts from 20 rs onwards . You find it difficult to find this place and also the infrastructure is not that great. But the food taste and quality is guaranteed.

Real taste of Perumbavoor, Love their fish curry and Mooru Curry... Meals is also good.... Rates are reasonable.... Location also easily accessible.... Opposite Vegetable Market Perumbavoor..
