Had Biriyani from here and it's not a superb or must have just ok. Even though in the photo masala is showing there was not much of it A little here and there for the name. I was served it with one fried piece of chicken and that fry was good. One star only for the chicken fry.

Had chicken shawaya today. My worst experience ever in shawaya. Nobody is eating that shawya in my house. I am planning to re-cook with some masala.otherwise it will be waste. And they are charging more amount than other hotels in this locality. Even other foods also had from here but just an average.

Just had chappathy and veg curry Very poor quality Chappathy is like a plastic paper and 15 rupees They are charging high rates, for very poor food During my journey to kollur temple in Kerala rtc bus, i had dinner from here

They have some great food options here. I always go for the alfam and butter nan or porotta. The alfam is really good - it's well-cooked and not too spicy. I highly recommend it!

Variety Foods is an average spot for a meal, but there are some consistency issues that stand out. I've tried several dishes like the biryani, fried rice, butter chicken, paneer butter masala, and porotta. The butter chicken and fried rice were tasty on some visits, but other times they didn't have the same flavor. Similarly, the biryani was just okay, and it wasn't always as good as I expected. The real disappointments were the beef and porotta. The beef was tough and not very flavorful, and the porotta wasn't great--too chewy and not as fresh as it should be. The service is friendly, and the ambiance is simple but comfortable. It's a decent place to stop by if you're in the area, but you can't always count on the food being the same quality every time due to the consistency issues. Overall, it's an "okay" spot, but I hope they work on improving the consistency of their dishes.

Don't miss this place if you are passing by and looking for a safe place to eat. They serve really good and tasty local dishes. I personally found the dishes a little hot, but I suppose hot and spicy are supposed to be the way for the local dishes here. Just loved the ghee rice, Kerala chicken curry and chicken kondattom, even though it was too hot and spicy for my tast buds. You won't regret eating from here.
