After trying numerous Kerala meals outlets across Kerala and beyond, I finally had the chance to visit this much-talked-about spot. I had avoided it in the past due to the constant crowds, as dining in such a rushed environment often feels more like a task than an experience. While the food was generally good, I did feel the rice wasn't fully boiled, which affected the overall experience. For me, the meal didn't quite live up to the hype. The popularity may be more about its long-standing presence and the nostalgic connection many locals have with it. Overall, it's just another Kerala meals outlet without any distinct specialty to set it apart.

My cousin recommended this place, so we went for breakfast, and it did not disappoint. We had porotta with beef masala and crab masala, both were just out of this world. The beef was rich and flavorful, and the crab masala had this perfect brown gravy which was very tasty. Along with it, we had some hot tea, which just made everything better. My cousins tried puttu with koonthal masala and prawn masala, both made with a red chilli based masala. They really liked it, but for all of us, the beef and crab masala were the most loved. I would highly recommend this place Definitely visiting again next time.

The best seer fish fry I've ever had. Though I'm allergic to prawns and crabs, I had it anyway and I don't regret getting rashes on my skin. Such was the taste of the food they served. The restaurant is not air conditioned and you have to be in queue for a while to get a seat. Once you get a seat, you would start sweating profusely but you wouldn't mind that as you'll be in a world of flavours. I had crabs, prawns, seer fish fry, red snapper fry, mackarel fry.

We had crab, squid, beef, and some fried fish--everything was absolutely delicious! The taste, freshness, and traditional flavors make it stand out. The menu features a variety of delicious rice and curry options, along with a selection of perfectly fried fish. You'll also find crab, squid, chicken, and beef dishes to satisfy your palate. I was particularly impressed by the different types of fish, which were simply outstanding. For seafood enthusiasts, this is a must-visit spot in Thalassery. Highly recommended!

Great food offered at reasonable prices and all the seafood enthusiasts must visit this place! Breakfast time ll be less crowded and lunch gets way too busier, take aways better ! Parking has been allocated in recent years which adds to convenience...

Got here early on a Sunday afternoon. The lunch was just getting ready. We were ready to wait. It's not often you get to sit here easily and enjoy a meal. Slowly the meals came! Hmmm, not bad. The cabbage was tasty. The fish curry was also flavourful. Then came some avoli fry. The fish was fresh but it wasn't great. Not what I expected. Aicura was only getting ready. Prawns would take a while more. The aicura that came was top notch. Lovely masala coated on perfect pieces of fish! Such great character. Then came prawns. This was next level stuff. Definitely one of the best prawns fry I have had. Spicy and rich taste. We got one more plate of it. Last we tried mutton head fry. This wasn't everyone's cup of tea. Mutton lovers should try it once. Overall a great meal with some amazing service. Will always stop here whenever I pass by.
