Customer Reviews & Testimonials

Really love the architecture and lighting here. Beautiful and spacious place. The staff is really super helpful and the service here is fast. The food is really good-looking and makes you want to eat more. The washrooms could be improved more, to be honest. The place is generally full of people and thus moving. They have a wide variety of food options ranging from Indian, Arab, Chinese, and more. At first, from outside, it looks like a small place, but don't be fooled. It's pretty big on the inside. There are many photos and designs featuring the traditional South Indian (Kerala) from ancient times, yet they have managed to still keep it quite modern. Well done.

Excellent service! I ordered meals, chicken biryani, crab masala, and fish fry -- every dish was packed with authentic flavor and the perfect level of spice. Mr. Vivek ensured everything was just right, offering great customer service and attention to detail. A thoroughly satisfying experience!

*****Itihaas Restaurant***** ***Muttada, Trivandrum*** Visited the restaurant with my family. The ambiance was great. The settings were elegant, with the right balance of warmth and sophistication. The food was absolutely fantastic, made with high quality ingredients and each dish was beautifully presented. Service was attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. A cozy place to spend time with your family and friends, having the pleasure of experiencing a variety of mouth watering recips @ a reasonable price. There is an out door balcony space where you can sit and relax sipping tea of coffee of your choice. And for those are in a hurry, there is an out door counter exclusively for tea, coffee, juices & snack, where you can have a quick bite. The only problem I noticed was difficulty in parking. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. So why waiting, go & feel it directly.

We went to Itihaas Restaurant for a late breakfast and had a great experience. Ordered Appam (live) - fresh and good, Chicken Stew (absolutely mouth-watering and one of the best I've had in a long time), Egg Roast (again, simply delicious), Poori Masala (it was okay), along with Tea, Boost, and Coffee. The Chicken Stew and Egg Roast were the highlights - perfectly balanced flavors, rich, and absolutely satisfying. The ambience is quite different, featuring a traditional touch, which adds to the charm of the place. The only area for improvement would be the service, as they seemed short-staffed due to the festival holiday. However, the food definitely made up for it! They also have three outlets in Bangalore, so if you're there, try it out and see if it matches the same amazing experience as here in Kerala! Would highly recommend this place - a must-try for anyone looking for an authentic and flavorful breakfast experience.

"Good experience at Itihaas! I ordered a paneer tikka roll and a pineapple juice. The roll was tasty, but a bit pricey. Service was excellent. Worth a visit, but be prepared for slightly higher prices."

We bought an Arabic shawarma as takeaway, only to find that the chicken inside was boiled with just some chilli powder -- bland, unseasoned, and completely different from a proper shawarma. We went back to the shop ourselves and walked into the kitchen area to speak with the staff, to avoid making a scene in front of other customers. They remarked, "This is the proper Arabic chicken", but they were firm and insistent on replacing it. What we got instead was even worse -- the replacement shawarma had completely raw chicken inside (photo attached). This isn't just poor service -- it's dangerous. Serving raw poultry is a major health risk and shows complete negligence in food safety practices. Extremely disappointing and frankly, unacceptable. I hope action is taken before someone ends up seriously ill.

A Great place to Dine ! Me and my wife had an errand to run nearby to the restaurant. We missed to have our breakfast and were on the lookout for a good restaurant and found it. The restaurant On the outside at first glance seem to have no dining space but to our surprise when we entered it was very spacious and had a great interior and they have an outdoor dining space as well. Sadly we missed the breakfast buffet so opted for Appam and chicken stew which was delicious. Met the Chef-Owner of the restaurant who was very humble to show us around the restaurant and explain us the varieties of dishes they offer. We would love to come back again for an evening dine-in to explore their dishes. A definite must try if you are someone who is looking for good food with great ambiance

The only thing I felt nice was the ambience. Ordered tandoori chicken, paneer paratha and normal shawarma. Tandoori chicken - burnt, not much flavour as a result, bony pieces. For the price of 300, not worth at all. Paneer paratha - initially they bought ceylon porotta which I wouldn't fault them, because mistakes in order taking can happen. Upon pointing it out, they quickly took it away & replaced it. But paneer paratha did not feel well cooked and had to cut the paratha into small pieces to search for paneer in it. Phew. Shawarma - felt like the worst shawarma I've eaten. There was a bad bittery taste to it, not sure if it was from the rumali roti, veggies or the mayo. Tasted all of these things separately but could not identify what contributed to the bitter taste overall. Chicken seemed to be well cooked though. A bad experience at a place I went after hearing & seeing the hype. Went in hungry and left the place hungry. Advice would be to spend half the effort in the kitchen please, rather than on influencers. I expected a culinary delight that matches the ambience, but was totally unsatisfied.
