A restaurant with elegant space and undeniable potential. The ambiance sets the stage for a refined dining experience, but the dishes, while passable, lacked the finesse and consistency expected from a place of this calibre. Referred by a friend, I hoped for more depth in flavor and presentation. Perhaps it was an off day in the kitchen -- a reminder that in hospitality, every plate is a first impression. With a sharper culinary focus, Le Lumiere could truly shine as a go-to for discerning diners.

Le Lumiere Restaurant on Law College Road, Trivandrum, offers a mixed dining experience. While the ambiance is quite appealing with spacious seating, decorative lighting, and ample parking, the service and presentation leave much to be desired. The waiter staff appeared unkempt, lacking proper uniforms and wearing slippers, which detracted from the overall experience. The seating arrangements were straightforward, and while the food was below average, it tends to have a stronger spice profile. Additionally, the biryani could have benefited from being served warmer. For the management to enhance the overall experience, it is essential to prioritize improvements in service standards and ensure higher hygiene among staff and services. This focus will significantly elevate the dining experience at the restaurant.

Le Lumiere is an amazing restaurant with a cozy and inviting ambiance that makes for a great dining experience. The Chattichor dish is definitely a must-try - it's packed with flavors and worth every bite! The atmosphere is perfect for a relaxed meal, making it a great place to hang out with friends or family. The only downside is the lack of parking space at the lower level, so you'll need to walk from the bottom, but the experience is absolutely worth it!

A beautiful restaurant.The ambience and setting of this restaurant is very immaculate.Lot of seating space inside and outside the restaurant.The environment is made similar to an old home with lots of greenery around. The food was okayish though. The vegetable thali was good, all the side dishes were very tasty.But the Alfahm and the khuboos provided with is not up to mark.Had a fowl taste to it and the khuboos was hard as a rock.Porottas were so nice though. Biriyani was okay for the price and not many complaints there. Also combo meals and discounts for students are available here. The new seats inside are not so comfortable to sit on.Old ones were comfortable and looked nicer. Overall a good budget restaurant with the best environment! Edit: Went there again and had the Chicken manthi.Had unlimited rice for one person.The rice was very flavourful and the condiments especially the Mayo was amazing.The chicken was well cooked and had the mild middle eastern spicyness to it.Def will go again. Edit: Their Chattichoru is average.The chicken curry alongside was very unique and tasty.Some other condiments like curd, stir fries etc were amazing.

Very good ambiance and the food is also good. Its a really good place to have a good time with friends and family.

We stopped by Le Lumiere at Barton Hill on the evening of 08/09/24, and our experience was decidedly average. The atmosphere and vibe were certainly highlights, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Parking was a breeze, with ample space for up to 15 cars. The surroundings were neat and clean, although the hygiene could be improved upon. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite measure up to our expectations. We ordered a variety of dishes, including mutton soup, tandoori combo, chicken perattu, naan, and juices, but the taste was merely average. The order boy was friendly and attentive, which was a redeeming quality. Overall, Le Lumiere excels in terms of ambiance and service, but falls short in the culinary department. With a bit more attention to food quality, this place could be a real gem. As it stands, it's an average spot that could be worth a visit if you're in the area, but not necessarily a destination in and of itself. Perhaps with some tweaks to their menu and food preparation, we'll consider giving them another try in the future.

A Disappointing Experience with Only One Redeeming Dish Unfortunately, our dining experience fell short of expectations, with only one dish standing out positively. We found ourselves forcing down most of the food, which was far from what we had hoped for. Dishes We Tried: - Prawns Thai Coconut Soup - 169 - Grilled Beef Ribs BBQ - Half - 415 - Green Chilly Alfaham - Quarter - 160 - Butter Naan - 35 - Puttu - 35 - Sticky Sweet Chilly Beef - 329 - Porotta - 15 - Chapathi - 15 - Egg Roast - 120 - Muthassi Kozhi Curry - 328 - Mint Juice - 35 - Lime Soda - 35 * Soup tasted more like a generic local curry than a delicate Thai soup. * Beef Ribs was inedible--extremely rubbery and marinated to the point of overpowering any natural flavor. * Alfaham was Dry and lacking in flavor. * The only highlight of the meal was Sticky Sweet Chilly Beef, The sauce was flavorful and well-balanced. * Muthassi Kozhi Curry was major disappointment, lacking the depth and richness expected. * Lime soda was less in flavour The property itself is aesthetically pleasing, with inviting outdoor dining areas. However, the ambiance alone couldn't compensate for the culinary letdowns. Overall, while the setting was charming, the food experience was disappointing. The only saving grace was the Sticky Sweet Chilly Beef. I hope the restaurant can work on improving the quality and consistency of their dishes.
