Treat Restaurant

Chicken soup was very good and the rest of the food ordered was too oily. I don't understand why these chefs are using so much oil in Chinese food. The owner must do a quality check every now and then.

The location of the restaurant is splendid as it is situated bang opposite Lulu Mall. I enjoyed the food I had here and their peri peri fries was surprisingly good. The appams were fresh off the pan and the veg stew exceeded my expectations. I have also tried the items off their Indian menu like veg kolhapuri and pepper chicken and loved it as well.

The food was quite enjoyable! I especially loved the poth dishes and chicken fry -- they carry that authentic old KH flavor which I truly appreciated. The service was efficient and the staff, including the waiter, were courteous and responsive. That said, there's definitely room for improvement in terms of cleanliness. In today's times, maintaining proper hygiene is essential, and I hope the management pays more attention to this aspect. Overall, a pleasant experience with flavorful dishes and attentive service.

I recently visited Treat, a restaurant located opposite Lulu Mall in Trivandrum, with high hopes but left somewhat disappointed. The establishment itself is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly enough, but unfortunately, the food did not live up to my expectations. I ordered the Alfahm Mandhi, a dish that is usually bursting with flavor and spices. However, what I received was quite underwhelming. The chicken was overcooked and lacked the juicy tenderness that is characteristic of a good Alfahm. The spices were very mild, almost nonexistent, leaving the dish quite bland. The rice, which is supposed to be aromatic and rich, was dry and lacked any distinctive flavor. The portion size was decent, but given the lack of taste, it did not make up for the overall lackluster experience. Additionally, the food took longer to arrive than expected, especially considering the restaurant wasn't particularly busy at the time. While Treat has potential given its prime location and friendly staff, the quality of the food, at least for the Alfahm Mandhi, needs significant improvement. For now, there are better options in the area for those seeking a flavorful and satisfying meal. I hope the management takes these points into consideration and makes the necessary changes. Two stars for cleanliness and service, but the food needs to step up considerably.

Actually, while going to the airport from kollam, I visited here. First we went to kerala Hotel and they told they don't serve arabic dishes.(went there because of a cousin who never visited KH and not aware of their backstory) So came to Treat. I was surprised that Treats is a sister concer outlet to KH. The date was 17th March. First of all, like the other reviews ,there was some foul smell.. There were many varieties of Arabic grills in the menu, but it was shocked that only normal Al fahm is available among that.Orderd a combo al fahm, noodles,fried rice ,extra portta, etc. With the noodles and fried rice they don't even serve ketchup or hot chilli sauce . The al fahm was undercooked. Parota was nice to be Frank.The darkest thing is the fried rice never came. We almost finished the food but my brother was waiting for that and finally called the staff who don't bother for service and he called the waiter who took the order and he told that we never gave the order and he didn't took that.. Crap and arrogant behavior. The staff saw the person is with empty plate all along but didn't even bothered to ask we needed anything more. Pathetic,mood killer experience. I saw an old comment in Instagram regarding KH before fo the question for any nice food spots in Trivandrum and one guy commented.." Go anywhere, but avoid KH".. Now its Treat also.

Had lunch there. Got soft and smooth porotta and spicy beef curry. There are many beef varieties

Me and my family had food from this restaurant on 29th may 2025. Me and my sister ordered half mandhi and when we started having it we felt it's uncooked and like a left over one. Still we had it and our mom had meals and fish fry. Me and my sister got food poison and sister got admitted in hospital. Mom also had some stomach issue on the same day. The worst experience ever from Trivandrum. These people should get punishment for selling bad quality food.
