Customer Reviews & Testimonials
A small and neatly kept place in the heart of the city, just near to the railway station and ksrtc. The best biryani in town, I would say. I have tried the chilly chicken and beef roast as well, all went good, and the mint lime too. CB is a must try item, value for money hotel, very fairly priced menu.
One of the oldest biryani places, Hotel Sapphire has a long way. Located just outside the railway station, its was a hit with travelers and locals alike. Their biryani's very very popular and started as a small hotel.||Today, it has expanded and is always crowded. No reservations, they have managed to maintain the same quality of food. There's a car parking available a few meters away
I had a great experience at Sapphire Hotel. The place is exceptionally clean, and the service is very prompt. After finishing my meal, I went to wash my hands, and by the time I returned, my table was already cleared--showing how attentive and efficient the staff is. There are plenty of waiters, ensuring quick service. The food was delicious, authentic, and well-prepared. Overall, a great place for a pleasant dining experience. Highly recommended.
One of the biggest restaurants in Thrissur. Recently had lunch here with my family and we ordered biriyani -- it was good, but I couldn't help but feel that the taste wasn't quite the same as I remember from my visit years ago with friends. The place is spacious and offers air conditioning, which adds to the comfort. However, the pricing felt a bit on the higher side compared to similar places. Not a bad experience, but not as memorable as it used to be.
The Food not good at all They could stop serving meals. Because they are not providing proper curry or gravy for meals and the quantity is like 2 tablespoons of curry for each person. But they provide more vessel for 1 meal. 3/10 Biryani The rice is too hard. Not even smooth to eat. 2/10
I had high hopes when revisiting this biriyani shop, especially since my experience back in 2015 was truly memorable, the biriyani was flavorful, well-prepared, and worth every bite. Unfortunately, this time it felt like a completely different place. The quality has noticeably dropped, and the dish lacked the rich taste and authenticity it once had. It now feels more like a commercial setup focused on quantity over quality. The place was also extremely overcrowded, and the owners seemed unprepared to manage the rush. There was no proper system in place, and the overall dining experience was chaotic and poorly handled. What was once a must-visit spot has sadly turned into a rushed, unsatisfying experience.
Visited on 06/06/2025 around 8:40 AM I came for breakfast with my wife and tried to park my bike in the parking area. There were many empty spots available, but the security guard on duty rudely said it was for cars only and asked me to leave. I've visited this place many times before, but this experience left me truly disappointed. We ended up going to another hotel. It was a sad and unpleasant moment that I didn't expect from a place I used to enjoy.
I had a terrible experience at Hotel Saffier. I ordered two plate of chicken biryani, and it tasted more like turmeric than actual biryani. The flavor was completely off, and the quality didn't match the high price. For the amount I paid, I expected much better. I'm really disappointed and can't recommend this place."
