Customer Reviews & Testimonials

I had the pleasure of dining at Olan, a Kerala restaurant that also serves amazing North Indian dishes--and I was thoroughly impressed. I visited for evening tea, dinner, and breakfast, and each meal was a treat. The evening tea was perfectly brewed and paired with delicious snacks that hit the spot. Dinner was a delightful mix of Kerala flavors and North Indian classics, all cooked to perfection. And breakfast the next morning was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. What truly stood out was the service--every staff member was warm, welcoming, and attentive. Their friendliness added a personal touch that made the experience even better. Highly recommend Olan if you're looking for great food and wonderful hospitality!

I had breakfast from here( ground floor). It was about 11am but they still had breakfast items. We had kallappam, chicken stew and egg curry. All in all it was good. The chicken was not soft and I felt that kallappam lacked softness. Today we went for lunch( 1st floor), 9 of us. We had ela sadya, mixed biriyani, seafood platter, porotta, paneer curry, koruvaa fry, fish curry, egg curry etc. Service was good. Ela sadya food was tasty. Fish items r there strong points. When we left, lots of people were queuing up for lunch. On the whole a good culinary experience. On 12May25 ------------- , we had lunch here once again. 2 vegetarian items were stale by 12.45pm. Also the kozhuva fry was lacking in salt. Surprised that no quality checks on the taste of food is done. I hope the management doesn't get complacent.

We went to Olan for a family lunch and overall had a lovely experience. The staff were friendly, polite, and reasonably quick with service. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food absolutely delivered on flavour. We tried the Porottayum Pothu Variyellum, the sadya, and penne Alfredo pasta and all of them were packed with flavour and served in generous portions. For drinks, we ordered the pineapple kandhari, grape juice, mango milkshake, and coffee. Everything except the mango milkshake hit the mark. The milkshake fell a bit flat in terms of flavour. The drink presentation overall could use a bit of a refresh but taste-wise, no major complaints. There were a couple of small hiccups: the sadya took a while to arrive, and we had to remind them about the mango shake. That said, the staff did check in on us periodically and kept us informed, which helped smooth things over. In spite of the minor delays, the standout food and the team's positive attitude made it a worthwhile visit. I'd definitely recommend giving Olan a try if you're in the area.

Tried different dishes, the excellent was sadhya. We all liked it much. Beef biriyani (kizhi) could have been a lil better. A lil bit delay in service we felt as it took approx 30 minutes or more to get the food served. I'm visiting for the 5th time. Service needs to be improved. Huge delay in serving things. May be running short of staff but it need to addressed ASAP

Visited this seafood restaurant and was quite disappointed. Though we were seated quickly, the food took a long time to arrive and wasn't even hot , the seafood platter and biryani were barely warm. The non-veg meals and pothe choru were okay, but no one offered any additional servings after the first, which felt stingy for the high price. Overall, not worth the money, and I don't plan on coming back.

Was sad when Navya kokki went. Good naadan Kerala food.We had puttu with beef roast, pidiyum beef, porotta and chicken curry, fried rice and paneer masala. They serve complimentary sulaimani tea which is good. But service is slow and they re not managing tables and crowds properly. It has become noisy and chaotic

I recently visited this place and overall had a good experience. The food was tasty and well-prepared, though I felt the prices were slightly on the higher side for what was offered. The location is excellent and easy to find, making it a convenient spot to visit. However, one major downside was the lack of a dedicated parking area, which made it a bit frustrating, especially during busy hours. If you're planning to come by car, be prepared to search for parking nearby. Still, the ambiance and food quality make it worth a visit if you're in the area.

I recently visited Olan Restaurant in Thrissur and tried their Pidiyum Kozhiyum and Beef Biryani. While the overall experience was good, I did notice a drop in the usual quality of the Pidi. Contrary to my previous visits, it wasn't as soft and seemed more like a steamed version this time. That said, the flavors were still enjoyable, and the beef biryani was well-cooked and satisfying. Hoping the consistency of the Pidi returns to what it used to be. Still a nice place to dine!
