Khanaval by Rovers den is a must visit whenever you are at Leh, Ladakh! They have variety of veg and non veg options and also provide customised dishes (when ordered in advance) over my 2 months stay in Ladakh I visited Khanaval whenever I craved for comfort and healthy homely food Since I am from Maharashtra I can vouch that the taste of food is authentic marathi style and anyone can take advantage of this cusine from the Himalayas itself Other than food the ambience is warm and spacious with western as well as traditional sitting. The staff is friendly and assists with any queries related to menu. Note: due to high altitude the food takes longer than normal time to cook but be rest assured for the lip smacking experience

A perfect place to have authentic Maharashtrian cuisine in the "Land of High passes",Khanawal has great variety of cuisine available in menu belonging to various regions of Maharashtra. For us the stand out was Misal pav,chicken and Pithla bhakri ,chicken keema and misal respectively boasted perfect balance of taste and texture,both had a lovely blend of aromatic spices,even the portions are generous. To top it all Taak(butter milk) and Mattha was a good palate cleanser. Owner's (Kaustubh and Greeshma) and their Staff knowledge as well as enthusiasm definitely adds to overall satisfaction. Overall Khanawal delivers an exceptional taste by preserving the traditions of Maharashtrian culinary traditions. Kaustubh and Greeshma are great host it was overall a magnificent experience.

Eating Maharashtrian Food in Leh was pure joy! Enjoyed eating comfort food away from home was just amazing. Tried their Misal Pav, Sabudana Khichadi and other dishes too, all were tasty and perfect. I would recommend everyone to definitely visit Khanaval when in Leh. Owners Greeshma and Kaustubh are very welcoming and great Host.

Kudos to the couple for serving Maharashtrian food in Leh. Naturally, the prices are high but quantity is little especially sabzis. Went there twice. Taste was good (salt required) the first time. Food was tasteless the second time. Go with patience because the owner herself cooks most dishes. I recommend Patavdi Rasa (Rs. 180) and Usal (150). I hope they increase serving size

Recently had a meal at Khanaval, and couldn't stop going there everyday! We tried misal pav, kheema, sabudana vada, sabudana khichadi, thalipeeth, and the taak. The taste was impeccable and made us feel close to home. The staff is extremely hospitable and attentive. If you are looking to get a taste of home in the mountains, I highly recommend you visit Khanaval.

Okay. I did not really expect authentic Maharashtrian taste, but I was blown away. The pav here is obviously different, so the taste is different, but yes, if you want to treat your taste buds after eating only chowmein and fried rice throughout your trip, then look no further. This is it.
