Customer Reviews & Testimonials

VIPUL TALWARIA

We had to wait for 15-20 mins to get a seat for dinner which tells the popularity of the place. We had to try the momos here. It tasted absolutely delicious and they were quite filling. The momos were huge in size. We also had cheese bagleb which was a deep fried bread filled with veggies and cheese. This one tasted good as well. Chutney enhanced the taste of both dishes. They have both indoor and outdoor seatings and the ambiance is pretty nice especially the outdoor one.

Tech Entertaining

I visited The Tibetan Kitchen and had a mixed experience. The cafe had a cozy atmosphere, and the service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. Most of the dishes were well-prepared and flavorful. However, I would not recommend the mutton dishes, as they had a very poor taste and were quite disappointing. Stick to the other options, and you'll have a great meal!

Gurmeet Singh Chahal

One of the most popular Tibetan restaurants in Leh city. I ordered Ru-Chowtse(veg) to dine in. The taste 7/10 and atmosphere 8/10. Service is quick and the staff is really nice and polite.however it is difficult to find a place to sit in peak hours. The place is for lunch and dinner only.

Very taste food, ambience was not awesome but food neutralize everything Fresh himalayan stout fist was very delicious

Nozomi Asada

Everything is really tasty! The MOMO is hearty and juicy, and both steamed and kothae are recommended. The thukpa is so good you'll want to eat it again and again. AFGHANI CHIKEN is very tender and easy to eat. I have the impression that the food is served quickly, even when it is busy. The staff are warm, friendly and professional. They notice you immediately and take your orders carefully. I am sure you will want to come back again and again.

AWESOME ! GOOD FOOD ! We tried following items :- 1. Veg Thukpa - 5/5 ( a must try) (very unique taste) (1 serving is sufficient for one person) 2. Veg Noodles - 3/5 ( Good, very less spicy) 3. Spring Roll - 4/5 ( good filling, less spicy) 4. Veg Momos - 4/5 ( big size momos ) All these were very authentic in taste. And, it tastes very different from what we have in Delhi or other states. Please book them via WhatsApp beforehand, as they are almost full every day. You might have to wait 1/2 hr to 1 hr if visit without booking. Walking distance from main Leh market. Super fast service. Have parking space.

Missed visiting the restaurant in my 2015 visit and was looking forward to in this visit. It was worth visiting! We were 2 families of 8 plus our Ladakh van driver. Food was fantastic, service was quick by friendly staff. Please order food after you see the quantity as the portion is big enough. We ended up packing a few items. Being vegetarians, we enjoyed their veg thugpa and momos while we enjoyed other usual Chinese dishes like friend rice and noodles.

I am usually very skeptical about visiting the most famous restaurants anywhere since a majority of times, the food turns out to be a disappointment. But Not this one. The Tibetan Kitchen lived upto its hype to the T. I can see why everyone who visits Ladakh raves about this one particular restaurant. Yes it's always full and you might need a prior reservation if you go during dinner time but trust me, it is worth every bit. We ordered Thukpa, Fried Wantons, Bagleb, and Chicken Drumsticks and every single item tasted superb. I only have good things to say, truly. The Thukpa's soup hit all the right spots and the wantons were delicious to the last bite. If you're looking for good Tibetan cuisine in Leh, eyes closed you gotta be here at Tibetan Kitchen. We went around seven in the evening and luckily got seats within two mins. But while we were coming out, we saw a long line of customers waiting to get in as all seats were full. So, would recommend getting a reservation priorly. Well behaved and knowledgeable staff. They alleviated the experience of dining here. Add to that the thoughtful candle-lights on each table after evening and the whole atmosphere becomes quite romantic, even though you're surrounded by other happy eaters. A bit expensive compared to some other Tibetan spots I visited in the city but a hundred percent worth your money. Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Leh.
