The Worst Hotel Experience of My Life - Stay Away!" I don't usually leave reviews, but this place was so terrible, I felt compelled to warn others. Riverwood Forest Retreat Kanha was an absolute disaster from the moment we arrived. The staff was shockingly rude, unprofessional, and completely disinterested in helping guests. Every request was met with either blank stares or sarcastic replies. It felt like they were doing us a favor by simply doing their job. This was by far the worst hotel stay I've ever had. The staff was unbelievably rude, with zero sense of hospitality or basic manners. Their behavior was arrogant and dismissive, making us feel completely unwelcome from the start. There are no medical facilities available, which is shocking for a resort located in a remote area near a forest. If something goes wrong, you're on your own. The rooms were filthy and poorly maintained - stained bedsheets, a foul-smelling bathroom, and broken amenities. The so-called "luxury cottage" looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. Even basic necessities like hot water and clean towels were missing or came after repeated complaints. The food was cold, bland, and often served late. Room service was practically non-existent. And don't even get me started on the so-called "facilities" - almost everything advertised on the website was either unavailable or in pathetic condition. This place is a complete rip-off. What they market as a luxury eco-retreat is nothing but a poorly run lodge with zero hospitality. Avoid this hotel if you value your money, time, and sanity. I would give it zero stars if I could.

This is a very beautiful resort. We really enjoyed staying here. The food here is very tasty and the staff is very helpful. We would specially like to thank the manager Mr. Kishore who provided us with such a good service. Your hotel is very beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to prepare a special breakfast for us on request, and even served a piping hot dinner at 11:30 PM without hesitation. The beautiful cottages are incredibly spacious, with huge bathrooms and personal jacuzzis that added an extra layer of indulgence. The watchtower and jungle trail offered the perfect blend of adventure and serenity. Every corner of the retreat is designed to connect you with nature while keeping luxury intact. What truly stood out was the exceptionally helpful and friendly staff and the quick room service, always delivered with a smile. This retreat is a hidden gem for anyone looking to escape into nature without compromising on comfort. Highly recommended - we can't wait to return!

I have been to many resorts at Kanha. Would definitely rate this resort as one of the best, but... People visit Kanha primarily for jungle safaris and the problem is that the proximity to the safari gates is minimum one hour drive. Either you have to take your vehicle well in time for the gates to open or you have to hire a vehicle which is pretty costly. That apart the resort is very nicely located near a water body and almost in the buffer zone. Rooms are very good and spacious. Staffs are good. Food is delicious but the breakfast spread not satisfactory. An ideal resort if you want to just relax.|Oh yes...be very careful not to break a tumbler, they charge you real heavily, no one breaks them intentionally.|Well overall a very good resort.|

If you want a getaway from your busy life, this is the place. The rooms are big and spacious and very beautiful. The corner seating section is one of the best place for having tea in the morning. There is no cell reception very limited connectivity. Should definitely try stay at this resort.

SHAMEFUL EXPERIENCE - ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED I visited River Wood Resort with my full family - including my wife, children, sisters, bhabhi, and their kids - around 14-15 members in total, expecting a peaceful getaway. What we got instead was a traumatizing and insulting experience. One of our young children got seriously injured on the head, and to our shock, the resort had ZERO medical facilities. Not even a basic first-aid box was available. How can a property call itself a resort and not have even the most basic emergency support? That's not all - the staff here is not just rude, they are outright arrogant and disrespectful. Our driver was given food in the same place where they feed dogs. This is not just unhygienic, it's utterly inhuman and insulting. At the buffet, when a family member took butter, a staff member had the audacity to say - "Aap pura le loge to dusre guests ko kya milega?" Is this how you talk to paying guests? Are we beggars or customers? From start to end, the behavior of the staff was insulting, untrained, and heartless. Not a single person from the management took responsibility or showed basic manners. To anyone planning to visit: STAY AWAY. This place is not safe for kids, not respectful towards guests, and definitely not a "resort" in the true sense. It is a poorly managed, unsafe, and ill-mannered property that should be shut down for its treatment of people.

The Property looks good with lavish rooms but the the hospitality is very poor,behaviour of staff is terrible,The quaters for Drivers are poor and inhuman behaviour with Drivers giving them food with Food of dogs kept aside ,i mean basic humanity should be there ||||For the guests also ||1.No internet connectivity ||2. Misbehaving staff with poor service ||3.Food service poor ||4.Bathroom water Clogging issue||5.Insects in Bathroom||6.Violent behaviour with Drivers by Reception staff.No politeness at all.
