We tried Masala Dosa here and it was delicious It was totally worth ringing the bell

I recently revisited Sagar Ratna in Jabalpur, and it continues to impress! From the warm welcome upon arrival to the mouthwatering food and attentive service, it was a fantastic dining experience. The ambiance was inviting, striking a perfect balance between casual and comfortable. My taste buds embarked on a delicious journey starting with the tomato soup. While the flavor was enjoyable, the bread crumbs could have been a bit crispier. But this minor detail was quickly forgotten when my paneer achari tikka arrived. The paneer was perfectly cooked, coated in a flavorful masala, and complemented beautifully by the delicious chutney. The real stars of the show were the rava onion masala dosa and ghee garlic pepper roast dosa. Both were cooked to perfection, with thin, crispy batter and generous fillings. Additionally, the variety and abundance of chutneys offered were a delightful surprise, adding even more depth to the flavors. The highlight of the evening was the rava kesari. Its authentic taste and the perfect inclusion of pineapple elevated the dessert to a whole new level. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the prices at Sagar Ratna have become more affordable compared to my previous visit. But what truly impressed me was the impeccable hygiene throughout the meal. Plates were cleared promptly, and the dining area remained spotless, demonstrating their commitment to cleanliness. Best place in Jabalpur for authentic South Indian food, they have a whole variety of options in Dosa, idli, Vada. Interiors here is very beautiful and this place is calm and relaxing. Idli chaat is one of the best options to try here. They serve Podi idlis, idli chaat, dosa options are sub divided in 3 categories. The menu here has vast options to try from South Indian to North Indian, Chinese, Starters everything. Their Podi Ghee Roast Dosa is worth trying, proper crisp dosa with flavour of ghee and gun powder (podi seasoning). Chole Bhature are also a very good option to try, chole here are different in taste loaded with flavorful spices, bhature proper fried, crisp and soft which differentiates their taste and quality from others in market. I tried Mysore Paneer Dosa (was delicious paneer stuffing inside was authentic South Indian taste), Vegetable Cheese Dosa (best for cheese lovers) and North Indian Delux Thali (totally worth it Paneer, mix veg, dal makhani, laccha Paratha, Naan, raita, sweet and salad). Sagar Special Thali is a totally authentic south Indian, dishes like Rasam, South Indian dal, rice, lemon rice, poori, South Indian dry veg, rava kesari( it is totally worth it), curd, aplam and Sambar. Chinese food is also worth trying here I tried chilli mushroom and Singapuri Noodles both were delicious. This place is well maintained and hygienic. Washrooms are properly clean and hygienic. The staff here was very humble, welcoming and helpful.

Nice good atmosphere but service is pathetic. Plenty of tables available but food delivery takes a lot of time even though for idli too. Vegetarian thali is also served in the dinner too. It was good with a small quantity of lemon rice. There are two options in thali - NORTH INDIAN THALI AND SOUTH INDIAN THALI. All recommended Idli chat and so I ordered it, it was good overall.

Services are poor during my last two visits. They serve starters after the main course. Water bottles after requesting 3 -4 times. There is no order of service. Chilled sambhar is the highlight. Preparation of Honey potato is yet to learn. Worst experience though the outlet is owned by my cousin.

The place has a really nice interior. I had a fun chit chat with the staff, they also give very good suggestion for food order if you can't choose what to order. The food which we had was yum and specially their sweet lassi was so good. It's a bit pricey as compared to other place which serve the same type of food like Indian coffer house but the experience is worth going. You can visit the place with family and friends, it also serves tandoori items which are available after 11:00am-12:pm and many other snacks for a quick note.

I tried Mysore ghee roast podi dosa and taste was soo good I felt it was bit pricy also the 20rs water bottle they charged for 30 . Over all good taste and hygienic
