Sagar Gaire fast food Ujjain

Having heard much about Sagar Gaire, a popular Bhopal-origin chain, from a friend who raved about its student popularity and affordable prices, I decided to give it a try. My friend specifically insisted I try their sandwich, which, along with their special soup, was said to make for a filling and budget-friendly lunch, often costing around 80. We visited on a Saturday at 8 PM and ordered a paneer cheese sandwich and their special soup. Unfortunately, the soup wasn't available. The sandwich took about 15 minutes to prepare, and it's worth noting that Sagar Gaire operates on a self-serve model. After receiving our order, we struggled a bit to find a place to sit, eventually settling for a table uncomfortably close to the restroom, which had a noticeable odor. My observations regarding hygiene were a bit concerning. The cook used a dirty cloth to wipe down his cooking station, then used the same cloth to clean his hands and even a cooking pan. While this level of hygiene might not be uncommon in some Indian restaurants, it's certainly not ideal. Despite these issues, the paneer cheese sandwich itself was quite good. It featured fried paneer mixed with a standard sauce, and at 150, it felt reasonably priced for the quantity. Overall, the menu appeared to offer good value. In conclusion, if you're not overly concerned about hygiene and your stomach is accustomed to diverse culinary experiences (as mine is, thanks to Indian government engineering college mess food!), then Sagar Gaire is certainly worth a try for its tasty and affordable food.

Good price for good food. Nice experience. Dal makhani was too good, make a try. Sagar Gaire is located just in front of Nanakheda Stadium. It has an outdoor seating arrangement that is well looked at night timings, The taste here is good , Lunch and dinner is highly recommended by me. They have self service, you have to take the food from the counter to your table. Interiors , lightings and furniture arrangements are nicely done. Overall a place to hangout with your family friends and fill up your appetite with immense joy.

Very poor experience. The biryani was not worth the price--both quality and quantity were disappointing. The raita they served looked like leftover food from someone else's plate--barely a spoonful, and extremely unhygienic. It honestly felt like a waste of both money and time. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

My first ever visit to this or a Sagar Gaire restaurant. The Ambience, Beauty, Cleanliness and Decor from outside to inside was breathtaking! The Feng Shui of this outlet was amazingly cozy, relaxing, warm and welcoming! It felt I was in a foreign country. The staff were wearing clean and nice uniforms. They were not serving, only eager to clean up the tables as soon as the guest ate. Sagar Gaire is "A self-service restaurant". From ordering to pick-up. Pay when ordering, pick-up food in 5 to 10 mins. The presentation of food was exceptional and unique. The food was hot and tasted great! My travel companion and I ordered: Italian Pasta, Amritsari Kulcha, Rajma Chawal (basmati rice) and water bottle. The total bill was Rs 570 (see pics). I love this place, I will look for their presence in other cities in Madhya Pradesh and beyond. This was my first visit, certainly not the last. Thank you for giving me the vast Sagar like or Oceanic experience of the Indian and international dishes under one roof! I never miss a chance of eating at Sagar Gaire's sandwiches. My personal favourite is Veg Cheese Sandwiches. It tastes good as expected. The store's location is really good, so whoever knows it passes from it will definitely want to have something. Really nice ambience, ample amount of sitting options in and out of the store. I will definitely visit again without a miss. Will try other dishes as well on my next visit.

If you're looking for a place with absolutely no soul, no flavor, and zero respect for its customers--this is it. The food came out barely cooked, tasteless, and honestly left me wondering if anyone in that kitchen has ever used seasoning or, you know, heat. I politely brought it to the manager's attention, hoping for some kind of apology or solution, but he clearly couldn't care less. No apology, no explanation--just a shrug like my complaint was a nuisance. This place is a joke. Save your time, money, and stomach. Go literally anywhere else.
