Hotel Ekvira

On the Mumbai Goa highway one of the best restaurant. It's near Chiplun city. All dishes are very good veg as well as non veg also. For family it's good restaurant. Please do visit service is prompt and rate are also affordable.

Saw pictures of bombil fry on the internet from this place which was looking really good but unfortunately they had run out of bombil the day I visited so couldn't try it. Tried the mutton which was good. Place looks really nice in the evening.

Ekvira is now my default pitstop on the Mumbai-Goa highway. We were staying the night at Reemz resort, did not like the standard menu there and decided to walk over to Hotel Ekvira. It looks like a standard hotel on the highway but once you enter inside, all presumptions fall apart. The kitchen was staffed by women. Some even waited tables and on a winter night the place was brightly lit and all tables seemed to be having a great time. It seems like a happy place where families from town come together on a weekend for a night out. We had the Kombdi Vada thali, Thalipeeth, Kanda Prawns and some side dishes. Each one was excellent. The sea food was super fresh and prepared traditionally. They even make their rice papads inhouse. We saw one family being so impressed by them that they bought a bag worth of it to take home. Because of their location and open-air setup, I can imagine summer lunches to be uncomfortable but the quality of their food would still make it worth it. Go for it.

Absolute gem of a place with hygienic and healthy home cooked seafood and chicken dishes. Mutton vada thali and surmai fry were both fantastic.

I recently visited Ekvira Hotel in Chiplun and had an amazing experience. I tried the Surmai and Chicken Thali - both were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Worst food experience I had mutton thali. It was pathetic. Got feeling like i am just having sip of warm water When i complain about this owner was very arrogant and rude and replied like have it as it is served in plate. When you are travelling on Mumbai Goa highway plz avoid visiting this place. We have better options available in Chiplun
