The New Bombay Restaurant

Starting with Dahi Vada, my favorites jump to Shabu Vada, Aloo Paratha, and Dosa (take your pick)! The Bombay and The Gajanan are undoubtedly among the best restaurants representing Karad's rich culinary heritage. Last time I visited, the new restaurant building was still under construction, but the food quality at The Bombay restaurant remained spot on, unchanged and just as delicious. Though I've been to numerous places, though the rates are slightly above average, and though parking can be a hassle, one thing that stands out is the unbeatable quality and taste of the food. ** Anyway, give it a try, it won't disappoint!

This restaurant has been known for its delicious dishes for decades. This is a perfect place for foodies who are not much focused on ambience or service and wish to enjoy tasty food only... Delicious Butter Amboli is like an USP of this restaurant and many people carry it as a memory of their stay in karad for whatever purpose like education or business... You can also enjoy authentic south indian dishes here like various varieties of dosa / uthappa etc ... Dry chatani called Podi is served here which add some different taste to dishes ... Aba special tea is also a famous from this restaurant which is very useful in gloomy days to refresh your brain... Dahi wada or even Batata Vada and practically all the dishes prepared here are really very tasty. As it is located in the heart of the karad city you may face severe parking issue here especially if you are coming with four wheeler... Overall it's a perfect destination for foodies particular to enjoy south indian snacks dishes and for those who are not much focused on ambience or service... .

We tried Masala Dosa, Amboli, Dahi Vada and tea. All items were really tasty. Place worth the visit. If you're coming by car, you need to find parking bit far away and walk towards the restaurant. But it's worth the hassle.

This is the oldest restaurant in Karad. There are many South Indian and Maharashtrian breakfast here but their speciality is "Amboli" which is unbeatable in taste. Always rushed restaurant mostly on weekends. They are shifted nearby location for renovation of old one. I always visit this place for Poha & ABA special combination. ABA special is a special tea which includes lots of ginger and spices, you can call it Spicy Tea

Super famous since 94 years for AMBOLI. Historic ambience, age old furniture, great taste.

Tasty food at a very descent pricing. Not a very fancy restaurant though Quality of food you can expect here is fine, plus at good reasonable prices too, quite affordable But don't expect much of an ambiance here. Go here if you want above decent food taste and are tired with eating dosas and utthpa at the krishna ghat.

This is one of the oldest restaurants in Karad city. We tried Kurma puri for breakfast. Puri was served hot. The kurma was medium spicy but not that much tasty as expected. The quality of food is very good. But you can't expect a good ambience here as the space is not large.

Food is ok but please fast your service is very slow but try their amboli it's very delicious and there vadpav was the best but it is very crowded
