A wonderful place to eat at lonavala ... The place is now called Shilpas homely Food however the taste is as great as ever. If you enjoy offbeat dhaba food and are looking for a decent place away from the rowdy crowd this is the place for you. A small 15 mi yes drives from Lonavala city centre providing an ideal place for families and couples. Pros: 1) Really well cooked home like food, 2) Pleasant and well mannered staff 3) Reasonably priced between 100 to 450 rupees, with real value in terms of meaningful ambience 4) Don't expect village and fancy themes, expect what you need most, good food, ample parking space, toilets for ladies and gents, even a crib fir babies, option to call and reserve, and most importantly, well placed signs saying smoking and alcohol not allowed, making it ideal for families with kids Cons: 1) Not very visible from the road and easy to miss among the crowd of dhabas on the road

Excellent homely food. Good variety. Try Surmai fry and dry mutton. Well cooked, good ingredients.

Bad quality and high rate . V ordered surmai but what we got something similar to that fish but not surmai chicken was smelling so we left it Vada was half fried big no for this place.

Shilpa is a very warm person .. she being the proprietor of the joint. The food is utterly delicious.. just authentic.... As you enter the place u can get the wonderful aroma of the various dishes.. the kitchen too is very hygienic... The staff too r very dedicated...

Really very good food. Shilpa was most polite and courteous on the phone. Took down our order efficiently. And delivered it promptly, hot and fresh. She is doing a great service to tourists and is absolutely impressive!!! More than I expected when I made the call.

We ordered pomfret fry as starter which had 3 small size pomfret which were not at all fresh. Also we had potato sabji which was not fully cooked and didn't even had basic amount of salt . When informed owner regarding pomfret issue she lied telling us that stock had just arrived. Overall bad experience also all the dishes are over priced.

This is one of best Homely cooked food i ever eaten. We took Veg thali and all items were delicious from traditional Varan, to Kothimbir Vadi, and Koshimbir to Gulab jamun all had its own tastiness in it. The only draw back is their is no ac but premises is well maintained. Must visit n try Konkani style Fish items. Loved it...
