Girivihar Holiday Club - Lonavala

Went here for lunch and was very impressed with the taste...delicious. it has complete gujarati / north indian menu, so its perfect for lunch. The aamras was a must try However, service was slow and found it little expensive. A must visit for food. We did not stay so cant comment on the rooms.

Very homely feeling and very caring family. It is more of our house than a resort. Food just simply great. Menu for each time is indicative of vast experience and deep study. Lovely, lovely, lovely.

We had a very disappointing experience here during lunch yesterday. The owner was shockingly rude, and the staff seemed visibly frustrated and unhappy. What upset us the most was the complete lack of empathy shown towards my cousin, who recently had surgery and was using a walker. She politely requested a finger bowl or some way to wash her hands at the table since it was difficult for her to walk to the wash basin with dirty hands. The request was denied outright without any consideration. This level of insensitivity is unacceptable in any establishment, let alone a place in the hospitality industry. We will definitely not be returning and do not recommend this place to anyone who values respectful and considerate service

Excellent food. Very neat and clean rooms. Very hardworking and polite staff. Well managed and decorated property. Humble, friendly, caring owner. Had a very nice experience.

Superb hotel! Our group of 10 stayed at Girivihar Lonavala in mid-Dec. Food was fantastic - traditional Gujarati food must try - delicious. Service was first class, rooms top grade. The ambience is cosy and beautiful. Highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to all at Girivihar for making our stay fun and comfortable.

Excellent quality of food and service meted out by the warmest bunch of people! Came here hoping to have their traditional Gujarati thali which is what they were so well known for not realising that they only have a la cart services now. However, we were pleasantly surprised by everything we ordered such as their paneer butter masala, bhindi masala and their veg Kolhapuri which should be awarded a prize on it's own for just how delicious and flavourful it was! Their Khatta dhokla did not disappoint either and their phulkas were coming out hot and fresh. The freshness of their food is unlike most places in Lonavala and we simply cannot wait to come back here again and recommend them to everyone we know! Thank you for a very memorable meal!

Food. They say la carte. But they will serve you . What's already been cooked. No fresh food. I asked for no oil dish. They served me what was ready and told me it's ghee. Surprised. The bad thing is the owner supports staff members for their mistakes.

Just visited their restaurant back to back weekends. Awesome food. All gujrati dishes are just too yum. Not like what you get in a typical regular Gujrati thali restaurant. This is beyond and above all. Service is excellent too and staff is very very friendly.
