Customer Reviews & Testimonials
Best place to eat authentic fish and chicken preparation. I am eating in this restaurant from many years and they never fail in taste. Good management and services.
Had a great seafood feast here! Glad that I got to experience this with my family. One of the best Maharashtrian seafood restaurants in town! I have been coming here for years now, and the taste still hasn't changed. The staff is polite and they give great recommendations.
Pangat in Borivali is a seafood lover's paradise, offering authentic coastal flavors in a homely ambiance. But there's a queue if you visit on weekends- so you must plan the time accordingly The crispy yet tender Bombil Fry and the perfectly spiced Surmai Fry, Prawns fry are must-tries, while the flavorful Prawns Thali provides a wholesome experience of traditional Maharashtrian cuisine. Pair it with their refreshing Solkadi for a complete and satisfying meal. I have tried their Amboli it's really nice, but it's usually over by dinner time.
Disappointed with the Service and Food Quality Visited Pangat today after a long time with my family to celebrate my niece's birthday, and sadly, the experience was very disappointing. Although I've seen long waiting lists on Wednesdays and Sundays in the past, today being a Thursday, there was no crowd -- and it showed in the service and food quality. It felt like the chef and staff were not in the mood to serve or cook properly. As soon as we entered, none of the staff greeted us or even bothered to offer water. We were a group of six, and the cold reception was quite unwelcoming. We ordered: Starters 1 Prawns Koliwada 1Chicken Chilly Main Course: 1 Butter Chicken Kulcha/Roti 1 Surmai Fry Half Chicken Handi While the Butter Chicken was good, the Surmai Fry was unusually salty -- quite disappointing considering I've had it before here and it was excellent. The biggest letdown was the Chicken Handi, which was completely bland and tasteless. Pangat has built a name for itself over the years, and we expected a much better experience. The restaurant should maintain consistent food quality and service regardless of the day or crowd level. Today's visit was underwhelming, and I hope the management takes note and works on improving.
Pangat The Family Restaurant serves incredibly tasty food--every dish feels like it's made with extra care and authentic flavors. While the service can be a bit on the slower side during busy hours, the quality of the food makes it worth the wait. A great spot for a relaxed, flavorful meal with family.
Situated at Borivali on the main road. Nice food quality, especially fish items. You can order fish or mutton thali and can have roti or kombadi wade, Sol kadhi, rice etc. Only thing is that you have to wait for hotel entry inside which may take 15 to 20 minutes at least. However, people happily wait since food is very delicious. This is third time we are visiting in this year.
I am Malwani so trust me this is one of the best Malwani restaurants in Mumbai. Everything I had was PERFECT. Prawns fry, bombil fry, kombdi wade, mutton thali; all just delicious.
Tasty food and good service staff. Better to book in advance to avoid wating time as this is famous place. Also, they get so much delivery orders, if possible make different place for pickup point. Nice maharashtriyan food and try for separate solkadhi definately
