Customer Reviews & Testimonials

I recently visited Garam Masala to enjoy their seafood, and while the food was absolutely delicious and fresh, the service was disappointingly slow. It took a long time for our order to be taken, and the dishes arrived much later than expected. The staff was polite, but the delay affected the overall experience. If they can improve the speed of service, this place has great potential to be one of the best seafood spots in town.

One of the best place for non veg lover.. you must try here kolambi fry and surmai fry.

I recently visited Garam Masala restaurant, and I must say, the ambience was fantastic. For starters, we tried the Chicken Banjara Kebab (350 INR), and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender, juicy, and full of flavor--definitely a dish I would recommend. For the main course, we ordered the Surmai Thali (450 INR). The Surmai was deep-fried (note: they don't serve Tawa fry for fish). The thali included chicken stock soup, curry, egg curry, Solkadhi, papad, and bhakri. It was a satisfying and well-rounded meal. I also tried the Prawns Thali (450 INR), and while the prawns were good, I felt they could have used a bit more spice to enhance the flavor. The sides were similar to those in the Surmai thali. We also ordered Butter Chicken (350 INR) and two Tandoori Rotis (30 INR each). The Butter Chicken was on the sweeter side, so I personally wouldn't recommend it if you prefer a more savory taste. It's worth noting that there was an additional 50 INR charge on each dish for dining in the AC section, which brought our total bill to 1757 INR, or about 586 INR per person. Overall, my experience at Garam Masala was positive. With its great food and pleasant atmosphere, it's definitely a place I'd recommend for lunch or dinner.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent experience at your establishment. During our visit, we ordered alcohol, but it appeared to be diluted with water, which is unacceptable. We expect honesty and quality when dining at a reputed place like yours. Such practices not only harm your reputation but also betray the trust of your customers. I request you to address this issue seriously and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. I hope to hear back from you regarding this matter.

Garam Masala in Airoli boldly promises the "Best Seafood and North Indian," a declaration that demands scrutiny. After a recent visit, I can say that while they might not be the absolute best in every category, they certainly deliver a commendable and enjoyable dining experience. First Impressions: The restaurant boasts a bustling ambiance, often packed, which speaks to its popularity. The decor is pleasant, a blend of traditional Indian elements with a modern touch. Service is generally attentive, although during peak hours, you might need to be a little patient. Seafood Sizzle: Let's start with seafood, one of their key selling points. We tried the Surmai Tawa Fry and the PrawnKoliwada. The Surmai was cooked perfectly, retaining its moisture and offering a delightful crispy crust. The marinade was flavorful, with a hint of tamarind that complemented the fish beautifully. The Prawn Koliwada, a classic Maharashtrapreparation, was equally impressive. The prawns were succulent, and the batter was crisp and spicy, a true testament to authentic flavors. While the menu offers a wide variety of seafood options, these two dishes were definite standouts. North Indian Nirvana (Almost): Moving onto North Indian fare, we opted for the Butter Chicken, the Dal Makhani, and some garlic Naan. The Butter Chicken was rich and creamy, with a subtle sweetness that is characteristic of the dish. However, it lacked a certain depth of smoky flavor that distinguishes truly exceptional Butter Chicken. The Dal Makhani, on the other hand, was divine. Slow-cooked and velvety smooth, it had a pronounced buttery flavor and a hint of smokiness that elevated it to another level. Paired with the perfectly charred and garlicky naan, it was a comforting and satisfying combination. Garam Masala Spice: As the name suggests, spices are at the heart of their cuisine. The food has noticeable warmth without being overwhelmingly spicy, catering to a broad range of palates. However, those seeking a truly fiery experience might need to request their dishes be made "spicier." Value for money: Garam Masala offers good value for money. Portions are generous, and the pricing is reasonable, especially considering the quality of ingredients and the skill in preparation. Final Verdict: Garam Masala delivers a solid and enjoyable dining experience. While the Butter Chicken could use a minor tweak, the seafood preparations and the Dal Makhani were genuinely outstanding. Its bustling atmosphere, attentive service, and reasonable prices make it a popular choice for families and friends alike. Will I revisit? Absolutely. It's a reliable choice for a satisfying meal, and I'm eager to explore more of their diverse menu. Recommendations: Must try: Surmai Tawa Fry, Prawns Koliwada, Dal Makhani, Garlic Naan Consider: Exploring regional seafood specials. Note: It can get crowded, especially on weekends. Consider making a reservation.
