Always feel shouldn't try less than 4star reviewed restaurant. Visited today evening for dinner. Ordered meals and filter coffee. Coffee was ok. Meal was too bad. Starting from its not warm and not tasty. Puri was very oily. Atleast for the name, Rasam should have been outstanding. Rasam was average. Being in this prime location, determined effort on taste can make it good place. Saomeone listening?
The food quality and quantity are not up to standard. Also, the behavior of cashiers and other staff are arrogant and disrespectful towards customers. Decent food, almost South Indian flavor with Sambar more like Maharashtrian/ Karnataka style, value for money. Masala dosa was crispy, idli fluffy and soft. Vada and mirch vada in thali were cold and not freshly fried. Thali was also good with all subjies, rasam, dal had nice flavour. Tea was sweeter but nice taste.
I tried South Indian Thali and Filter Coffee here..the portions were enough for me. The filter coffee nice. The restaurant has self service.
Food is good but the guy sitting in cash counter is always on the phone. And you have to wait for his mercy to end the call and take your order. I ordered dosa .. he took his sweet time to finish call. Again I ordered butter milk same story. At the end ordered water bottle same story. I will give 5 star for food but cashier attitude minus 5
We landed in India yesterday and came to pune yesterday night and wanted to have nice south indian food. We ordered one anna thali and idli vada combo!! The taste was better until we realised there is a shit dead cockroach inside anna thali UPMA! We just threw all the food aside and inform the manager!! They took away the plates and said will give you everything again!! We were like- NO WAY! We just went outside. Just be careful before you eat anything there.
Decent place to have a dosa. They can however improve on chutney taste.
