Giuseppe makes killer pastas -my favourite is the Fungi e Prosciutto and I understood what 'al dente' means after eating it; it's supposed to feel too heavy in the stomach after eating it.12/10 reccomend. He made us try the Italian butter croissant that he made fresh from the oven too - it was made for another coustomer who cancelled their reservation, so I bought a few of em. They were excellent too! Pro tip: end the meal with the tiramisu which has a hint of citrus in it; a pleasant surprise.

Got to know about chef Jijo from Pune eat outs FB group, while on my never-ending hunt for an authentic Italian place in Pune. Having eaten plenty in Italy, and in love with the cuisine, I am well aware of the palate, which locals here find "bland" but its just masalas they miss, namely chilli flakes and oregano. I was prepared to have my mind blown since the resto looked very underrated, was hard to find and to a degree, I gave the benefit of the doubt that its cooked by an Italian chef. The road as other reviews say, is 1 km of straight "kaccha" road. Then you arrive at a bunglow where he also lives, which is also the resto. Ambience has been thrifted. Coming to the food, I had the Funghi pizza and requested dessert, tiramisu wasn't available so millefeuile was suggested. Well, the pizza was not good. The dough was salty and yeasty, and I could not taste the tomato. Mushroom was boiled in salted water I think, so lended more to the salty pizza+cheese is also salted. I tasted the tomato sauce separately but it was not tart as expected from tomato. That was a let down. The millefeuile was vanilla custard cream+cocoa powder+coffee, which was alright. The chef prepares everything by himself, so order takes time, I waited over 45minutes. He is nice to speak to, but that's the only reason why the stars. Costed 1395/- for 2 dishes and water bottle.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at what I believe to be the best Italian restaurant in India. Nestled in a somewhat obscure location, this hidden gem is a bit challenging to find. However, the effort is more than worth it. In a remarkable gesture of hospitality, the chef himself came to pick us up, ensuring we didn't miss out on the experience. The moment we stepped inside, we were transported to Italy. The chef, a true maestro of his craft, serves traditional Italian dishes that are simply sublime. Each dish is a testament to his dedication to authenticity and quality. From the freshly made pasta to the exquisite sauces, every bite was a delightful journey through the flavors of Italy. If you are a fan of Italian cuisine, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. The combination of exceptional food, warm hospitality, and the unique touch of the chef personally guiding guests makes it an unforgettable dining experience.

Chef Jijo knows how to elevate a normal dinner to an exotic and indulgent dinner. Special mention of the Disco Volante pizza, as all my friends loved it. Thank you chef Jijo, for the excellent fine dine experience.

We went to this quaint bistro after dinner for Tiramisu. Absolutely loved the take on the humble home set up. Authenticity is rare these days but chef has definitely made Italy come to Pune. His dog is a sweetheart. Road to the destination is very bumpy, but do visit for a unique experience. Definitely coming back to try Ravioli and Gnocchi. Grazie mille, Jijo!

Excellent Italian food, authentic ingredients, authentic process and all done by Jijo who loves to cook! You can taste it in every bite! Highly recommended if you want a real Italian meal! And always wonderful to meet and chat with him.

We wanted to have pizza with some authentic taste and then we found this place on google. This turned out very very good. Its a small restaurant in a house with simple and sweet ambience.The chef is very good he is a french and in India from past 20 years. We tried Vegitariana Pizza and Tiramisu and both of them were very yummy.
