About Our Restaurant
This restaurant aims to serve not only the famed Mumbai chaats but also a variety of foods from around the Mumbai region that are consumed by citizens from other parts of the city. Chef Anees Khan and Chef Ritesh Tulsian are both based out of Mumbai and have dabbled in a variety of cuisines and flavors. This inspired both chefs to design a venue capable of presenting specifically chosen flavors under one roof. Chef Ritesh, who also works as a consultant chef, has created a number of Iranian dishes that enhance the basic characteristics of Iranian cuisine found in Mumbai, which are still popular in southern Mumbai.

Customer Reviews & Testimonials
Hi, I was here with my mom for lunch and we tried their buffet which is unlimited from 1-5 pm only. The menu of the buffet gets changed daily.. I paid 499 rupees per head here (excluding GST). Let's talk about ambience - it was good. Service - was also good. The staff was polite and quite helpful. Price wise food , quality, quantity (unlimited) was also up to par. The crowd was decent here. Food options were : starters chat, chicken chilly, masala corns, soup. The main course was 1 veg and 1 non-veg, rice, naan, roti, dal, raita, salad and dessert (rabri kulfi). The food was tasty. And, I recommend visiting here with your friends and family. They also have bookings for a medium group of 12-15 members. For us the experience was nice. We couldn't eat that much but it's value for money!
Critic Review Food: We ordered 4-5 starters; one of which was not properly cooked and the fish was not fresh. Overall the food was good yet not matching the price point Service: There was lack of clarity while taking the order, also he didn't know how to serve wine. They were polite, etc. Ambience: Issi ka paisa le rahe Note: We booked in through swiggy but we were not allowed to make payment through it, they said they do not accept swiggy or Zomato bookings which is misleading, card payment option was also unavailable.
We visited Bambai to celebrate my sister's birthday, and the staff gave us a warm welcome and let us choose our preferred seating. After settling in, we ordered from the menu, having already checked out reviews and photos beforehand. The staff also offered helpful recommendations based on our tastes. We ordered a variety of vegetarian dishes: - Naan Bomb (a must try) - Arrabbiata Pasta - Cheesy Mushroom BBQ - Greek Salad - Guava Chilli Mocktail (a staff recommendation--absolutely fantastic) - Veg Kolhapuri - Naan - Spicy Ramen Noodles The highlight of the evening was the complimentary mocktails offered to celebrate my sister's birthday. They served us a delightful Sunset on the Beach mocktail (if I remember correctly). Our experience exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and mouthwatering. Choosing Bambai was the best decision, and it made my sister's birthday truly special. Thank you Bambai Team. We'll visit again.
Unpleasant Experience at Bambai Restaurant - Disappointing Service, Unhygienic Conditions, and Misleading Policies Recently, I visited Bambai Restaurant for my friend's birthday, and unfortunately, it turned into the worst dining experience I've had. From the start, things were off. As soon as we sat down to order, the waiter informed us about a buffet for 500, so we ordered one buffet and a separate plate of Manchurian. However, when I had a single piece of puri from the buffet, the staff immediately reminded me of their no-sharing policy. I respect this policy, but I continued eating only the items I had ordered separately. Later, another staff member (whose role wasn't clear) rudely informed us that I would be charged for two buffets--despite the fact that I wasn't sharing or eating from the buffet. This made us extremely uncomfortable and left a bad taste right from the beginning. The service deteriorated further. Our order was delayed, and my friend had to fill up on just bread while waiting. Then, when the food finally arrived, it came all at once, making it impossible for one person to finish it. We requested a takeaway, explaining that it was my friend's birthday and we didn't want the food to go to waste, but they refused. We asked them not to throw the food away and to give it to the needy if possible, but I have strong doubts that they did. The entire experience felt like walking on eggshells. To top it off, when we asked for the bill, they refused to waive the service charge despite the poor service. When we questioned it, they pointed to a corner of the menu where it mentioned service charges for the buffet, which felt extremely misleading. As we were leaving, the final straw was when a mouse ran across under our table. When I pointed it out to the staff, their response was simply, "We'll look into it later." This raised serious concerns about hygiene, especially after we had already eaten some of the food. Additionally, I found hair in my side dish, which they failed to take responsibility for. Overall, the experience was awful--rude service, unhygienic conditions, food wastage, misleading charges, and unacceptable hygiene standards. As a Level 5 Google Maps Local coordinator, I am sharing this review to highlight the truth of my experience. I understand and abide by policies such as no-sharing for buffets, but being transparent and treating customers respectfully is key. I hope the restaurant owners take this feedback seriously and work on these critical areas.
Excellent on every level. Taste was awesome. Service was fantastic. Captain Pashu and team went out of the way to make sure kid's birthday is made memorable. This is my new favorite and would surely keep returning again and again.
Bambai captures the soul of Mumbai through its flavors. Every dish tells a story, blending tradition with a modern twist. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it perfect for family gatherings or casual meet-ups. A must-visit spot for anyone who wants to experience Mumbai's culinary emotions on a plate.

Really my mother and my sister and my grand mother is facing food poisoning after having the food of bambai, really the worst food. Kindly visit(if you want food poisoning) even the service was worst the ordered was served after an hour.
Best food experience. The staff was very well learned about the menu and assisted us while ordering the food. The food quality was very fresh which we were served. Also visited once again where they have lunch buffet offer going on. The quality of food in the menu was really amazing and the number of items served also had many options for both veg and non-veg cuisines. Overall the experience was very good and the ambience was really amazing and it overall gave an amazing vibe. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to any new customers looking for an amazing dine-in experience in this vicinity.
