Customer Reviews & Testimonials
We had an unforgettable dining experience during our week-long vacation in Puglia, so much so that we returned for a second visit despite having many other options on our list. The seafood was the freshest we've tasted in Italy, with the squid, calamari, and octopus standing out as the best we've ever had. The dishes were simple yet scrumptious, prepared with exceptional skill that truly highlighted the quality of the ingredients. What made the experience even more special was the impeccable, attentive service. The staff treated us like family, clearly passionate about their work and life in Bari, adding a warm and genuine touch to our visit. Our entire family was smiling and equally impressed, a testament to the restaurant's ability to delight every palate. This restaurant is a true reflection of the people of Italy and the Puglia region--authentic, welcoming, and passionate about their craft. We loved it so much that we drove back through Bari just to enjoy it again. We only wish there were more uniquely delicious places like this. We highly recommend this gem and cannot wait to return on our next trip. It perfectly captures the heart and soul of Bari's seafood cuisine.
The service is overly intrusive. You barely have time to sit down before someone approaches with a tray of fish, offering it to you. Judging by the expressions on other patrons' faces, similar to mine (not understanding the purpose of this display), I wasn't the only one dissatisfied. We requested the house wine listed on the menu, only to be told that only sweet wine was available. It was evident they were steering us toward a EU20 bottle instead of the EU10 per liter option. The recommended bottled wine turned out to be very poor. We ordered two portions of grilled octopus and were offered a choice of side dishes: potatoes, vegetables, or artichokes. No one mentioned that these were not included in the dish's price. In the end, for two portions of octopus, a bottle of wine, a bottle of water, and (as it turned out) artichokes priced as separate dishes, we paid EU100. I believe this is an excessive price for such an establishment. Yes, the octopus was decent, but it wasn't worth EU25 per portion in Italy. Be cautious; this place isn't worth the money!
One of the most iconic restaurants in Bari, known for its incredible seafood dishes--especially the octopus, which is a must-try. The food is outstanding, and the staff are warm and welcoming, offering great service. It's usually quite busy, so it's best to go early to avoid waiting for a table.
We returned to Bari for the 3rd time and didn't want to miss another wonderful experience at this place. We did not have a reservation for a Thursday night in March. We lucked out. I don't know if they make reservations, so I recommend being there at 6:30pm. We also returned on Friday at 6:40pm because that is what the staff there taught us. All the food served was very good, fresh and cooked with joy. We were served by Nico, a tonic person, full of energy and with a lot of humor, who treated us as if we were his family. We licked our fingers! We will definitely be back for our 4th visit to Puglia!
Food was descent, but overall experience & attention to details not great. First they force you to take a first & second plate. Second, the wait staff not so friendly. Third, there was some sort of loud drama going on with the owners & someone they knew who entered the restaurant. For respect, this should have been taken outside instead of in front of the clients.
Fresh seafood, amazing ingredients, and such an accommodating, kind, and warm owner who cares! I had THE best seafood soup EVER! Even olive oil was remarkable! All staffs were warm yet professional in service Grazie Mille!
The best spaghetti from our trip ! Squid ink spaghetti with pistachio pesto is awesome although the shop require one starter per two people and one main dishes per person, it's totally worth the price. Fresh seafood and delicious
Yesterday I had The best seafood I have eaten in a long time. Nik was so far the best waiter, food guide me, walked me through the great wine selection. A must visit place. Small , cozy , rapid service, just go
