Customer Reviews & Testimonials
Scenic Bites with a Side of Chaos at Foothill Restaurant Perched by the riverbank at the foothills of Chathe river Chumoukedima, Foothill Restaurant is a popular highway stop that draws travelers with its stunning natural backdrop and an impressive spread of local delicacies. It's a place where the aroma of sizzling spices meets the roar of traffic and chatter--a mix of charm and chaos that's hard to forget. The closed-air seating offers breathtaking views of the river and surrounding hills, making it an ideal stop to stretch your legs and soak in the landscape. The menu is a celebration of local cuisine--from smoky grilled meats and spicy curries to freshly boiled vegetables sourced from the local villages. Flavors are bold, portions generous, and prices surprisingly reasonable. But be prepared: the place is loud and almost always crowded. Between the constant flow of vehicles, families, tour groups, and kitchen clatter, the noise can be overwhelming. The restaurant doesn't offer table service--you'll need to go up to the counter to place or add to your order, which can mean standing in line again if you want something extra. The waiting time is long, especially during peak hours. While the food is usually worth the wait, the delay and lack of organized seating can be frustrating. Still, the energy and authenticity of the place have a certain rustic charm that regulars have come to love. If you're passing through and in no rush, it's a must-stop for local flavors and a feast with a view. Just bring your patience--and maybe some earplugs. People travelling from Manipur to and fro are often noicy and very much irritable sometimes. Rating: 3.8/5 - Beautiful location and fantastic food, but expect long waits, noise, and self-service.
A popular stop over for travellers looking for authentic Naga meals. Good location with ample parking. Some sections have a good view of the river. Good is authentic and delicious and generous with good prices. The only fault was that the waitresses didn't serve water, and when bottles were given glass tumblers weren't provided. This happened several times and at all the tables that I noticed. Decent washrooms.
Went with my family and friends. One of the best meals I had, loved the smoked pork, good ambience, beautiful surrounding and views. Definitely worth going again.
Good place with variety of items Available for lunch and dinner. Ample parking space available with proper hygiene inside the restaurant. The service was quick and pleasant atmosphere.
I just love eating out at this place, with authentic and delicious Naga Cuisines at reasonable and affordable prices. It's worth it if you want to have a proper Naga meal.
My experience after going there twice. The food wasn't great. The food and sides were bland. Portions we're reasonable (4-5 pieces). I ordered dried pork and got four pieces of just fats and one bone..
The manager and the waiters are very rude. Had to wait 15 mins for them to bring the menu and when I finally ordered from the menu they came back 5 mins later to tell me it was not available. Never going back there again and I won't recommend anyone either.
The hotel is located in a good spot and the food is yummy. One of my favourite highway restaurant. The meals served rapidly and the rates are reasonable.
