The owner of Morung Kitchen and lodge is the same. Happened to have lunch here 2 times and both pork curry rice and smoked chicken bambooshoot rice was excellent.
If you wish to try traditional Naga food you can try here. The stairs going to the dining are are very narrow but the dining area is spacious. Somehow I didn't liked the taste of the food as didn't enjoyed the as smell of Akhone in smoked pork curry. Maybe depends on taste buds of person to person. It's not an expensive restaurant neither it's a cheap restaurants, you can visit here if you want to try Naga food.
Been going here ever since it opened and i am absolutely loving the new renovations and management. It's got a much cosier and homey vibe to it now making it the perfect comfort place. The iced coffee and different varieties of thalis are a must try!
One of the best places I've eaten in Kohima so far. The smoked pork thali is delicious! Great food, great service and excellent location. 10/10 would recommend.

Not gonna lie I've had the worst experience having dinner at any restaurant so far. The amount of meat you plate gosh! AXONE smoke pork surprised me.. very disappointed. Chicken two piece super small piece doesn't even come close for a 200+ worth dish man come on. And anishi don't even wanna go there.. 3-4 pieces. Barely had pokora size of meat that too 4 piece and small small chunks.. You've beat even the record of plating the least size and quantity of meat than Bamboo shoot at Razhu point. After that experience never will I ever visit Morung Kitchen for a dinner ever again. So not worth the money for a dinner. I would not recommend anyone to have any Naga dish at Morung Kitchen. Very very Disappointing.
Love the vibezzz of the place and the food is amazinggggg personal favourite is the Naga smoked pork thali. 10/10 must visit
