An amazing culinary experience, and ambience. I tried traditional Marwadi cuisine here for the first time (in the form of Veg Khaja set), and it was absolutely my favourite culinar discovery during whole trip to Nepal. Highly recommended!
Food is nice. Mineral water is exp. I thought its complimentary because there wasn't any price for the mineral water stated in the menu. Will be better if this is upfront.
This cafe basically became my second home during my stay in Lalitpur. Situated just outside the boundaries of the Durbar square, the place offers a nice retreat from the busy streets with an rooftop sitting area and a tastefully decorated space opening up to the alley. The coffee is amazing, as the machine is regularily cleaned and the baristers are skilled. In general the staff is also extremly friendly and polite, creating a relaxed atmosphere perfect for philosophical discussions or the study of the morning newspaper.
The food was good, but the service was terrible. It took over an hour to prepare our meals, and they brought them out one at a time every 10 minutes! It was a very disappointing experience. If you're dining alone, it might be fine, but if you're with a group, I recommend finding somewhere better.
