Tasneem's Kings Kitchen

Tasneem's has been my go-to place whenever I crave for authentic Biryani. Their Mutton Biryani is definitely the best in town, hands-down. I have recently discovered my new favourite in Tasneem's. It is their Bohra Chicken cutlets. Amazing!! Their Nihari needs to improve, though. The place is well decorated and serves brilliantly cooked Indian cuisine. The prices are a bit on the higher side but highly recommended!!

Amazing food, ambience & service at Tasneem's kings kitchen . After tough trek- it felt like heaven to have some great Indian food at this restaurant. Owner was very helpful in the selection of the dishes and we pre-ordered some food for a large party . The service was prompt and the taste of the food was great ... Thank you, Tasneem.

Has good ambiance, but horrible food. Chicken tikka were undone. Chicken seesh kebab full had floury. Worst was daal tadka, looked like they mixed lentil in curry sauce and served, worst i had in my life. Naan bread was a bit acceptable, and tasted good. Would give Naan - 6/10 Chicken muglai tikka - 3/10 (under cooked, smelly) Daal tadka - 0/10 (worst) Chicken seesh kabaab - 2/10 (floury taste overdrives the overall taste) Mint sauce/chatni - 1/10 (watery like soup)

Delicious biryani and kabobs here! We enjoyed the dum chicken biryani and the chicken tikka kabobs. There were also delicious vegetarian options like the veggie kabob and best veg biryani I've tasted. My family had a great experience and enjoyed the Bollywood ambiance. Met Tasneem herself and she was very friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Kathmandu!!

I eat here every chance I can get. Tasneem prepares the best Indian food (by far) in Kathmandu, and some of the best I have had anywhere. Her Bohri recipes may not be what you're used to, so don't be afraid to be daring--even her daal is spectacular. Ask for recommendations. She is a welcoming hostess and a lovely person in every way! I started to list out my favorite dishes. I stopped when the list got absurdly long... When Tasneem closed her physical restaurant in February, I was devastated. But since then I've been very happy that she has begun to prepare weekly specials for take-away and delivery. These are not on the main menu, but so far all have been superb! The bhindi ghosht - a traditional Parsi dish - had the most mouthwateringly tender mutton I have ever eaten. The chicken kheema, which sounds like it should be a simple dish, was exquisitely spiced and delicious. This week I'm looking forward to kasuri methi chicken. First time at Tasneen's and was very, very, impressed! The food is absolutely delicious and very different then the typical Indian food I expected in a good way. The flavors of the whole fish was tangy and complex with a delicate smokiness. The butter chicken was the best I've ever had,and I've had it in many locations around the globe. I particularly enjoyed that nothing was too spicy (no hot chili's in this food but lots and lots of complex and we'll balanced flavor). I highly recommend Tasneem's Bohra Muslim cuisine as a delightful experience tastewise and ambience wise.

The service was lovely, the food even lovlier. If you're looking for excellent halal food then this is the place to go. The mutton curry, mutton kebab and keema naan were favourites of ours. Also the best Chai I've had in Kathmandu was right here.
