If you want to try real newari cuisine, visit this place. I ordered Village platter which had a little bit of everything. It was really different but delicious!!! Service is great as well as atmosphere. As you can see from attached pictures you have many different areas for sitting. Must pay a visit if you in Patan ;)
I consider this place to be one of the best newari restaurants within the valley/ very accessible. There is a finesse to the dishes here. The desert, the traditional and modern newari dishes. The only thing that wasn't spot on was sapumicha but I would still consider getting the exotic platter if you want to try. Dropped a star because the place is consistent.
If you're new to newari food, you might like it. However, to me food was okayishh, i've had better. Plus, the chuira (Beaten rice) was osseyko which brought down whole dish.
One of the best newari eateries in jhamsikhel. The view from the top of this restaurant is breathtaking. Although the price might seem spiked but with the portion of food they serve the food the price is fair. They also sell some local indigenous products in their restaurant.
Newa: Food cravings fulfilled to the MAX!!! We visited the VILLAGE Cafe after it shifted from Pulchowk. We feared the taste migh have differed, but to our surprise, it was even better!!! Service was on point! Kudos to our dear Tataa:S from Bungamati who have helped preserve the authentic taste & originality of Newa: Cuisine!
I love the Yomari ! My favorite dessert everytime coming back to Nepal. The rooftop offers nice view to the city, especially at sunset and full moon.
