Customer Reviews & Testimonials
The Punjab Province restaurant inside the Hyatt Amritsar is a great place to indulge a little (or to impress your visiting friends/family). They serve delicious food in a nice, clean ambiance. The portion sizes are just right and many dishes are meant for sharing. The location, right next to the Nexus mall, is also perfect for a day of shopping followed by an evening of fine dining. Contrary to the name, the menu is not just traditional Punjabi dishes and you can find other cuisines as well. They also have an excellent coffee machine which makes really good cappuccinos.
This place is perfect for gatherings and the food served were all superb! Very spacious layout, presented well and very clean. Staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs, really good customer service. All food ordered was really yum and the serve portions were decent. The virgin mojito and lime soda is a must-try, very refreshing! The burger was done well with an Indian twist presented west style. Highly recommend for anyone willing to spend a bit more, luxuriously!
We went to Hyatt Regency for Dinner last night . As Mughal culinary festival was going on at Punjab Province . we got the chance to savour the Culinary Treasures of Mughal and enjoy the soul-soothing Sufi music by famous singer ... Sukhi ( loved the lyrics & music ) live music made Ambience more vibrant . Spread was looking lavish .. As Mughals we're famous for royalty , dishes served at dinner buffet was depicting their royalty . We started from the salad section , loved the taste of couscous salad Nd papdi chaat Then we enjoyed some Veg & non-veg starters from the Mughlai menu -- Tandoori chicken ( juicy & soft ) , Kandhari paneer tikka ( stuffed vth pomegranate ) must try dish in the menu , Malai champ , Murgh Musallam, lamb seekh galouti. Loved the starters section . Main course was overloaded with Best dishes but my stomach was not allowing . So I took one plate Nd tasted everything little Nd enjoyed my first experience of Mughlai food . But dessert section was not to be missed so had phirni with rose flavour , chocolate cake was yum , shahi Tukda making us feel shahi . Guys do check the tempting pics of food from the Mughlai festival . Courteous staff , good ambience , excellent food & good company made my Saturday perfect
The best interiors, ambience. The staff dealing was the best. The food was also good. Do try the new fusion menu. The buffet seemed really nice, didn't tried it though.
Sadly, The Punjab Province inside the Hyatt Amritsar didn't live up to the hype for me. While it boasts a convenient location next to Nexus mall, that's about where the positives end. The food, attempting to blend traditional with modern, misses the mark, leaving much to be desired in terms of authenticity and taste. The ambiance, although clean, feels sterile and lacks character. Surprisingly, for a place named after Punjab, the menu's diversity comes at the cost of genuine Punjabi flavors. Even the coffee, which I had high hopes for, was mediocre at best.
Grilled fish should be fresh & tasty, but it was extremely salty & hard to eat without being covered by mashed potato. Fried egg rice was also salty. The next day we dined at the restaurant again but specifically asked the waiter to tell the chief that we do not like the salt food. Then we were able to enjoy a perfectly cooked tasty meal.
A must visit place. We stayed at Hyatt for a weekend and what an experience it was. Their hospitality was at par with all other brands available in market. We had opted for a complimentary breakfast, but must say the quality of food was great and again will highlight their HOSPITALITY you will not find other brands even closer. A must visit place, there is something for everyone. Most recomended.
Punjab province has some nice food, especially Paratha with butter chicken, it has very unique taste and malai lassi became one of my favorites. Punjab restaurants are not that expensive and the overall service is good. I must say the weather was also okay when I visited there.
