Customer Reviews & Testimonials
Ordered mushroom chilli which cost 270 on Swiggy (210 after discount) and was genuinely disappointed. The dish had only around 4 pieces of mushroom, which felt quite low for the price. The taste was also average--nothing memorable. Even with the discount, it didn't feel like value for money, especially considering how little of the main ingredient was actually present
I had a terrible experience at Katani Dhaba and Sweets, City Heart, Kharar. The food was extremely unhygienic and half-cooked, making it unsafe for consumption, Serving uncooked food not only affects taste but also poses serious health risks to customers. The management needs to take urgent action to improve hygiene and food quality. Until then, I strongly DO NOT recommend this place to anyone who values their health.Their entire focus is only on the Buffett business.Instead of eating in this restaurant, it would be better to eat home-cooked food and take care of your health. Please consider zero rating for this restaurant.
NEVER Again! I don't usually write reviews, but my experience at Katani Dhaba was so terrible that I feel obligated to warn others. First of all, the service was slower than a buffering YouTube video on 2G. We waited 40 minutes for a simple thali, only to be served lukewarm food that tasted like it was cooked last week. The paneer was rubbery, the dal had no flavor, and the roti could've been used as a frisbee. I asked for cold water -- they brought me warm water in a glass that still had lipstick marks. Disgusting. To top it off, the place was swarming with flies. I spent more time swatting insects than eating. And don't even get me started on the washroom -- it looked like it hadn't been cleaned since 2005. Katani Dhaba? More like Katastrohpic Dhaba. Wouldn't recommend this place even to my worst enemy .
Tasteless Food, Endless Regret Visited Katani Dhaba thinking I'd get a taste of authentic vegetarian Punjabi food -- what I got instead was a masterclass in disappointment. The shahi paneer was neither shahi nor paneer-like -- just floating cubes in a bland, watery gravy. The dal makhani? More like dal "mat khani" (don't eat). It had the consistency of cement and the flavor of absolutely nothing. The naan was stiff enough to use as a weapon, and the salad came with a bonus: a dead fly. When I pointed it out, the waiter shrugged like it was part of the thali. Cleanliness? Imagine eating on a sticky table while your feet get stuck to the floor. The washbasin had no soap, the staff had no manners, and the food had no taste. This place should come with a warning: "For those who've given up on taste, hygiene, and happiness." Never going back.
Last night, I went there for dinner with my family, but the noodles were really bad, probably spoiled, and the taste of the rice was also quite strange. The vegetables were okay, paneer was good, but the other vegetables weren't great. Chana chaat was good though."
Extremely Disappointing Experience - Avoid at All Costs! I recently visited Katani Dhaba & Sweets (City Heart, Kharar) and had one of the worst dining experiences ever. The food quality was absolutely third-class, and I regret wasting my time and money here.
I had a very disappointing experience with Katani Dhaba Sweets and Snacks. My friend and I ordered Chole Bhature and Paneer Butter Masala, but they no longer serve Chole Bhature--even though it's still listed on their menu. Despite this, they took full payment and only sent the Paneer Butter Masala. To make matters worse, they don't pick up calls, leaving no way to resolve the issue. It's essential for restaurants to keep their menus updated to reflect current offerings. This is completely unacceptable. I will never order from here again and will also advise my friends and relatives to avoid this place.
I recently visited this so called Katani dhaba. They do not have any ritual of serving water here. The person sitting there (Sardarji) said that a hotel can charge for bottled water. He also said that it is not mandatory to serve normal water. It is restaurant's wish whether they want to serve water to the customer or not. Pathetic.
