Customer Reviews & Testimonials
These people making fool of north indians on the name of serving south indian food they have been successful in doing so as they have more than 10 branches across Jaipur. I have lived for more than 10 years in south India and know the taste and recipe of every South Indian dish. Have been eating authentic thatte idli in Bidadi Karnataka which is the origin for it and these people served ghee podi idli on the name of thatte idli when they have a dish named ghee podi idli also in the menu. When asked about the difference between plain thatte idli and ghee podi idli, they mentioned there is no difference except difference in idli size. That's ridiculous. On top of that, plain dosa was completely a papad and too salty. Sambar doesn't have any veggies like carrot, beans or drumstick as prepared in south India and just had some onion and tomato. Rawa dosa was like rice dosa only with little rawa added to it. All in all, a full deviation from original South India food and people are being fooled by just serving on leaf plates. Native North indians might like it since they don't know the original south indian taste being innocent and end up liking it.
The food at DOSAKA was delightful, with a focus on medium-spicy dishes and an extensive variety of dosas. We ordered a Jinni Dosa, a Hariyali Paneer Chilla Dosa, and a Filter Coffee, totaling 704. While the portion sizes justify the pricing, the taste didn't quite meet my expectations--possibly because I prefer spicier food. The ambience was perfect, offering a clean and pleasant environment. Service was excellent, with the staff being attentive and friendly. Our server, Shalu, provided exceptional service. As a bonus, you can enjoy a free "rasam" soup by downloading their app. Overall rating: 3.75/5.
Tried dosa at Dosaka, Malviya Nagar - ambience was lovely and the service was really warm. Atmosphere could be slightly better, but overall good vibes. Food was impressive with a wide range of dosas! Prices felt a bit high at first, but totally worth it once you taste it - especially the sambar and the spicy aloo filling, which were top-notch. Only thing that didn't feel value for money were the appe - 6 small pieces, and nothing special in taste. However, one major issue - there's a pothole filled with mud right in front of the gate, and if you try to walk nearby, there's a big chance you might slip into it. We saw a girl actually fall into it as it seemed to be a gutter hole. This needs urgent attention! Still, for dosa lovers - definitely a place worth trying!
The food is really good . Very hygienic and very sweet people over there . It's my first choice whenever I crave for south Indian food .
All good but they provide only bottle water which is very expensive...no RO water provides...even I asked forcefully but they refused for it...
I recently went for dining at Dosaka, Malviya Nagar. As a lover of South Indian cuisine, I was excited to try out this highly-rated restaurant. The menu at Dosaka is extensive, offering a variety of dosas, uttapams, and other South Indian delicacies. I decided to try a few of their popular dishes: Udipi Thali, Pizza Dosai, Jinni Dosai, Mysore Masala Dosai, Sambhar Vada, Idli. The service at Dosaka was prompt and courteous. The staff were attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. Overall, my experience at Dosaka was good. The combination of authentic flavors, and attentive service makes it a must-visit for anyone craving South Indian food in Jaipur.
This is truly an authentic south Indian restaurant. The taste of Dosa, chatni, sambar and rasam matches to that made in south India. The service is quick and superb. They serve sambar and chatni multiple times. Shalu, who served us at restaurant, provided very good service. All in all, it is a must visit restaurant for authentic south Indian food in Jaipur.
The food was really good and Shalu was so good in serving. I would give food and hospitality 10/10.
