Customer Reviews & Testimonials
The Kofta curry was delicious. But several items on the menu were unavailable, and this was mentioned after we had been seated for about twenty minutes and when we started ordering. Had we known earlier, we might have gone elsewhere! In fact half the menu was unavailable. Otherwise the service was excessively effusive, too much of Madam/Sir, but the service was slow and lackadaisical. The decor is good, but they lost the plot due to lack of proper communication and delayed service. Those who are visiting, please confirm that all items on the menu are available before being seated.
Pure veg restaurant nearby Govind Dev ji mandir, Jain food options available Ambience is good and soothing Live folk music added a good vibe Greeted very well while entering the place Food is good and price is quite economical I ordered Palak paneer, gatta curry, tandoori roti It was all yummy For dessert I chose chef specials "beetroot halwa" and also by seeing google reviews But honestly I did not like it at all Please don't go for this one . For compensating this staff replaced halwa by rose laddus which were ok in taste. Staff is polite and humble, Mr Suraj has attended us well. quick service.
If you're looking for a true Rajasthani thali and experience then this is the right place to be, especially for dinners! We went here looking at the previous reviews and wanted to try dal bhati and was not at all disappointed. Our waiter Mr. Aman suggested us to try the Dal Bhati thali instead and that was spot on, had all the dishes that we wanted to try and taste was very delicious aswell. Him and the manager kept checking on us and other tables too to ensure if the taste is as per our liking and even offered to replace a roti as it was slightly overbaked. Cherry on top is the live music performance which was bollywood instrumental when we visited was soothing and there's an open kitchen concept for people to peep through the kitchen. The entry area to this restaurant is under renovation, the ambience is very good and has plenty of parking space and located very close to the City palace. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone who's interest to try authentic vegetarian rajasthan thali.
I recently checked out Govindam and I've got to say, it was a fantastic experience! We've been pretty mindful about where we eat, and this place really nailed the hygiene factor, super clean and well-kept. The prices are ridiculously cheap, which is always a win. And the food? Absolutely delicious! The daal and the paneer were amazing, packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. We also tried their recommended dessert, the rose laddu, and it was incredible! The staff were amazing too! Super friendly and attentive, they made our visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. Overall, Govindam is a solid choice if you're looking for tasty local food. I'll definitely be back if I'm back in Jaipur!

Spacious dining area with beautiful interior. Coming to service the staff's were so welcoming and the table service was quick. Tired out Rajasthani Thali for 600 and couldn't meet our expectations. Not great, Not terrible like. Liked the Live music and the ambience. Toilets were not hygienic. Aggressive pricing recommended. After all please pay correctly for your paid reviewers They're crying for their money Couldn't earn the stars by their service..so just trying to buy it Embarassing
We had gone to jaipur for the holidays, we were looking for an exclusive veg restaurant after looking at different restaurants we can across this restaurant.. While the interior and ambience is good and mesmerizing don't be trapped by it, the staff and service here is pathetic... First they asked us to sit in another location and we insisted on a better table. They got the order of soup after almost half an hour with the wrong soup they also put in the fried thing in the soup which was poor in taste and felt very old or outdated. The kitchen was filled with hardly 2-3 people after 4-5 times of follow ups they got the order. We ordered dum aloo and there was only 1 aloo in it, we now didn't have the energy or patience to fight again after the soup fiasco we ate the dum aloo gravy with tandoori roti and dal fry. Meanwhile we saw a gentle man arguing and refusing the soup order. We decided we will not have a full meal and left after eating roti dal and sabji. For another round of roti they made us wait too much and at each followup they would look at each other without coordination. When we were about to complete there was a fight between the musicians who just arrived and the waiter. We listened to the musicians till the dinner was over and we left in total disappointment the price was too high, the service was pathetic and the taste was average with poor quantity they were not even listening to us about the issue with order. We left furiously and decided never to return here for food. Only ambience and music made this experience bearable. I will not recommend this place to all those who are very hungry and want quick service.
We visited here for lunch one day, having first made an online booking. However, when we reached the restaurant, we were in for a shock. First of all, the approach was a little off-putting: up a rickety staircase, then under an uncemented ceiling held up by bits of wood, all of it obviously something which is in the process of being renovated. Inside, we were told that they didn't entertain reservations, and it was all first-come first-service. It took a lot of pleading and arguing before someone finally agreed to get us a table. We still had to wait 10 minutes or so before we got our table, another 5 minutes before we got our menu, and then further waits for everything--our order to be taken, our food to be served. I would have forgiven all of that if the food had been good. We ordered a Rajasthani thali which looked pretty good (rice, various rotis, gate ka saag, dal-baati-churma, kadhi, papad, paneer lababdaar, raita, salad) but was fairly average. Sadly, the dal-baati-churma was the worst I had in this trip. There is live music, and the place is obviously very popular--it was packed. Also, given that the thali cost Rs 600 and was sufficient to feed two adults and one not-very-hungry child, it wasn't hugely expensive. But it was, on the whole, disappointing.
