Neelam Restaurant

Me and my husband took the cooking class offered by them, the restaurant is own by a family so the wife is the cook and she also teaches the class. It cost us 800 rupees per person, you can choose if you want to go in the morning or in the afternoon we did it at 4pm so what we cooked was dinner for us, she uses bottle water for everything and her English is enough to communicate. We made seven different dishes and after class when you finish cooking you take pictures of all the recipes. We were happy and it's a cool experience highly recommend it!

I so enjoyed my dinner experience and cooking class at Neelam Restaurant. Neelam's food is delicious and takes very clean. You can taste the fresh spices and vegetables in each dish. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a lunch or dinner dinning experience or a cooking class. The cooking class felt informative and helpful for me to be able to bring back Indian dishes to my home. We used bottled water for cooking and got recipes for the dishes afterwards. Plus the view from the rooftop is beautiful at sunset.

Neelam Restaurant offers delicious homely food that hits the spot! We tried the Gatte ki sabji and Sev Tamatar ki sabji, and both were excellent. While the food was great, the service could use some improvement. Enjoying lunch with a lovely view from the top made the experience even better. They also offer cooking classes, which is a nice touch for those interested in learning. Overall, a nice place to dine!

We visited Neelam Restaurant three times during our short stay in Udaipur, and every meal was an absolute delight! The food is fresh, flavorful, and made with so much love--it truly feels like home-cooked goodness. The variety of dishes, from rich curries to perfectly spiced dals and freshly made breads, kept us coming back for more. What made our experience even more special was the cooking class with Neelam herself. She is an incredibly warm and talented cook, sharing not just recipes but the heart and soul of Indian cooking. We learned to make traditional dishes from scratch, and the hands-on experience was both fun and rewarding. It was one of the highlights of our trip! If you're in Udaipur, Neelam Restaurant is an absolute must-visit. We can't wait to return!

Went for a very early dinner at 4pm and was very nice. Both had thali, a mango lassi and like juice. Both drinks were exceptional. Thali was very good value and all home cooked by the owner. The couple who own the place are friendly and welcoming. I recommend for a cheaper and more authentic place in Udaipur.

We had a fabulous Thali at Neelams restaurant, the best food we've had so far in India and at 180rp the best value too. All set to music from the temple next door, plus a few car horns of course! Don't be put off by the entrance, climb about 6 flights of stairs and there is a lovely little terrace.

Extremely good food, with very good price. Recommended the special plates, especially the thali. Good gulab jamun and the juices were fresh and very tasty. It is family run and the cook is amazing. She also runs cooking lectures, very recommended. You need to climb some steps, but it is totally worth it! Good view on the nearby temple.

The best restaurant i found ever in Udaipur. If you would wish and like home food then it's perfect place to eat pure vegetarian, freshly prepared, homemade food. Service is provided by the uncle only (owner of restaurant). I was listening to many people they tried best cafe in Udaipur but after that they only want to come this place only. And they also provide jain and Swaminarayan food also.
