Rootage Restaurant I visited this place on my birthday. The ambience is really nice, and the interior design is impressive. The food is absolutely delicious -- I specifically go there for their charcoaled sabzi, which has a unique and incredible taste that you won't find anywhere else in Udaipur. Overall, it's a great restaurant when it comes to food. They also have a nice round table setup which is perfect for office or personal parties. There's a projector as well, and they host cricket match screenings, though during my visit the projector wasn't working -- and I'm not sure if it has been fixed since. Compared to my last visit, the food took quite a while to reach the table this time. We also ordered a sizzling brownie. Normally, at other places, the brownie is served at the table and then hot chocolate is poured over it in front of the customer for that sizzling effect. But here, when we mentioned this, the staff responded saying, "This is how we serve it here, and that's what you'll get." That part really ruined the overall vibe for me. That said, the rest of the staff served the food properly, and the overall experience was good -- just that the brownie situation took away from what could've been a perfect dining experience.

Its very bad place to visit with anyone. Very bad , they just provide uncooked food. I had pasta which was not properly boiled and the sauce was also not properly cooked. I also had spring rolls, it seems like it was already prepared and they oil fried and provided it again, oil dripping from it. Completely taste less. Zero for food quality and taste.

DO NOT BOOK HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY This is our second time stay at artist house. First stay was good and smooth. But highly disappointed this time. Rooms are not nicely maintained. No doormats at the bathroom leading to wet floor in the rooms. Water supply was bad including hot water supply, the housekeeping team literally hd to give buckets of hot water which felt like living in a dharamshala and not a hotel. Drainage in washrooms int good, leaked drain water is everywhere in the washroom. No seperate room service number available to address the issues in rooms. No pool access availble. ( Not mentioned while booking on app). Chose over the place as it had pool availble.Pool is available but all empty, no water. Charged more to tea then the price mentioned in the menu available in the room. Broken swtiches and regulators in room which can be kinda risky if u have kids along in the room. Simply it did not leave it mark as per the prices charged. NOT RECOMENDING for the stay as there are a lot of better options available across the town for this price.

I am a huge fan of this place because of the quality & taste, although in my last visit the service was not at par. There could be a management change, hopeful that things remain the same. As if someone is looking for a good place to eat in Udaipur, it tops the charts.

The artist house interiors are interesting. The service by kishan lal was excellent. We went for afternoon lunch.|Food was great and we enjoyed the over-all atmosphere . |Must visit place for all those visiting udaipur. Expect evenings to be more interesting

UNHYGIENIC; Bed bugs, Pee stained couch For starters, The room that was allotted to us had a couch with a big pee stain on it. When asked to change the room the staff suggested that they will put a towel on top of the couch to make up for it. Upon further discussion, we got the room changed to an equally disappointing room. To add to the misery, we found bed bugs on that bed. My family which trusted my selection of this so called 4 star hotel had to sleep with bed bugs and wake up with a concerning amount of bites. Upon informing the staff, we were offered yet another room change with no further compensation. The room change was done at 1pm the next day. Almost 6 hours after we informed the management about the problem. THE ARTIST HOUSE is a disgusting and disappointing place to stay. I don't recommend anyone to trust the review or the "4 Star" Rated Hotel. (which was btw rated in 2022 and not updated ever since) STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOT MESS. NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY OR HASSLE.

This place was fantastic. The service was great; the staff was very attentive and respectful. The food was very tasteful. We tried a little bit of everything from noodles to authentic rajisthani dishes to Punjabi food and everything was delicious. Our waiter Manoj was especially great. He made our experience very enjoyable.

Had a very good experience at Rootage restaurant. This place can handle large crowd. They have kept roots as ambience which is an interesting choice. Food was wonderful. Every thing that we ordered was very tasty and portion size was large. Bit expensive and parking can be a pain but definitely recommend this to everyone. Update: Went to the restaurant again for dinner and the experience was very good. Large portions of food, excellent service and good ambience. Did have a minor inconvenience which we informed the host as constructive feedback. Rating of 5 star in all areas and definitely a big thumbs up.
