All starters rocks. Awesome taste. Parotta Paaya. Attagasam. Biryani. definitely not to miss. Parking will be difficulty for dining in. But for this good taste. you can take that challenge.
This is a no frills place. But the mutton biryani is amazing. So was the chicken 65. Go here for the great food... don't worry about anything else.
I had heard of the famous ambur biryani for a long long time. On my way to Tirupattur from chennai, we stopped at Ambur to try khaja. The biryani was very simple yet delicious, was not at all spicy. Did not have too much oil as well. We tried a variety of dishes like Mutton Biryani, Chicken biryani, parotta, chicken gravy, mutton brain and quail. I must say it was worth trying it all. I would recommend Khaja for anyone who is willing to try something new.
I'm not too sure about the hygiene. We had the chicken briyani and paratha, idiyappam Paya and onion fry curry. Good tasty Out of all the biriyani brands that have blossomed from Ambur, I would say this is the iconic place. Small place right on the side of the busy highway. Still everything is done the typical traditional style. Typical basic restaurant. waiters go out of the way to make you feel at home.
Over hype for this hotel. Not as much as we expected. Can try once. Over priced
Khaja is our goto place on our way to Bangalore or Yelagiri. We tried their Bheja Fry (Brain) and loved it. It was spicy with loads of pepper and a had a unique taste to it. The biriyani and the boneless chicken we ordered as takeaway was also good.
This place is close to my heart and has great memories that I carry along with boxes of biryani. You can visit this place anytime between morning to night and always come out with a satisfied stomach. I always recommended this place to my friends and family while travelling to Yelagiri or Bangalore.
