The Resort at Laughing Waters

We stayed for 4.days. Home Cooked Food was awesome. Decent Rooms. Call place. Location is good but a little away from Ooty. Overall good experience

My family and I stayed at the resort for 4 days last week and had a wonderful experience. We were in the first cottage Red right next to the entrance. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The food was excellent--freshly prepared after we placed our orders homely style. For lunch and dinner, you wil need to order in advance. Prasanna, who manages the place wil reach out with the available options and also recommend must-try dishes from their kitchen. Kotagiri town is about a 20 to 30-minute drive from the cottage. While the afternoons got a bit warm inside the room, the nights were pleasantly chilly.. it dropped to around 14degC during our stay. We didnt opt AC (500extra) since we were usually out exploring after breakfast. Breakfast had a few simple options, but everything was delicious. If you're visiting as a couple, I wud highly recommend booking the yellow cottage near the farm field--it offers better views and more privacy. Prasanna was always just a call away and super helpful throughout our stay. He got a cheerful personality and makes sure everything runs smoothly. NOT SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES, If you are bachelors and want some privacy, then go or it. We stayed here for 1 night, it was not a good experience. I will give you pros and cons. PROS Rooms size is good You will get sufficient mattress and blankets Hot water available in bathroom Good View CONS In a very remote area. The sub road is terrible. you cannot drive unless you are expert. Bedsheets are stinky, no idea when they were washed. Double cot is cheat spring bed, which is not comfortable. One more cot cum sofa is there which is like rock, too hard to sleep or sit. Towels provided are like floor mats (pic attached) Bathroom was not clean. I stayed in 3 accommodations in my current trip. But this guy charged me 1000 extra for my child where I already paid 3700, which he says is a policy. I am OK for this as I didn't wanted to go against their policy and paid 4700. But Resort will not follow policies. They say no sound after 9:30 PM. But some people came at 12 in the night and were partying till 4 AM with loud noise. which was very disturbing. I didn't had sleep. For breaking this policy and disturbing the comfort how much should we charge this guy Prasanna. As I mentioned this is NOT for Families. You will not get food here (only breakfast, that too very very limited). We had to struggle for lunch and dinner as the only option which Prasanna mentioned was closed and we had to travel to a different place for food. so we completed our early dinner and came back to room. Finally, not worth the money, you will get much better accommodation in good place for the amount you pay.

Had a very pleasant stay here over the last weekend. The owner - Mr Pressana was very welcoming and very helpful with any questions we had about the region. The breakfast was amazing and the dinner was very well prepared too. Would definitely recommend the place to anyone who wants to get some peace and quite in a very scenic location.

Superb Ambience. Very friendly staff. Made us comfortable with delicious hot tasty food.

It was a calm place to stay with a scenic view from all sides. The whole staff was too helpful and generous

Excellent stay in laughing waters.. Our friend and owner of that property Mr.Prasanna... Did excellent hospitality..we are the family of 16 members stayed in his property...we enjoyed lot ..he arranged travels for sightseeing..and main thing is home made food for our entire trip.. Nice taste ..really enjoyed the food taste..the locality of the property is in excellent view..very calm ... Lot of memories we get their... hereafter whenever we plan for a trip in future... Definitely we strongly recommend everyone to stay that property..thanks to Mr.Prasanna...

No words to express my satisfaction on Hospitality and Service. Very Good Property and Atmosphere.
