Kai from the Sea

Visited on Sunday evening ... a small quaint place - with an interesting menu. We enjoyed our dinner . Had the following Prawn popcorn Crispy Barracuda tacos Korean spicy noodles Fresh Mango cake Blue pea flower lemonade Idiyappam The service was quick. Portions sufficient for 2. 3100rs for above Overall we had a good time. Baby chairs need to be made available.

Amazing food , a must visit when on ECR , I did give them for 2 reasons, 1. Very expensive 2. Ultra small place for such lovely good food. Located right next to PVR mall on the ECR and prior to the Toll plaza. Only 3 cars could be parked and the rest will have to park on the road. Very polite friendly and pleasing hosts Shyam and ( i forgot the other ones name). The menu was limited but very appetizing. We were served very quickly probably cos of few customers , the soft shelled Singapore crab is one of a kind, don't ever miss trying it. The other starters we tried were calamari fritters, a little different from the usual but we liked it. Butter garlic prawns were average . Mains were Jasmine rice with goan fish curry - am out of words , a real yummy treat . Malabar parotta after real big sized one with mutton gravy were really good too. Blue pea lemonade was a real treat , a must try , the kokkum drink was more like a glorified buttermilk it was different I agree. Desserts we tried the biscoff pie , out of the world experience . Place you must never miss when on ECR.

We had 6 dishes from this restaurant out of which 5 tends to be really good in taste . The service of their staff is also a positive one . But the main drawback is that I don't know whether their air conditioners are running are not interested additional the pricing for their food stuff for the ambience they offer feels like bit expensive

We went as a group of 5 and had a reservation. Food in general was good, but very expensive. We loved the calamari rings, soft shell crab, Goan fish curry, malabar parotta and seafood risotto. These items are a must try. The egg fried rice and the vietnamese tilapia preparation were good too. The service was decent and the server even warned us when he felt that we had ordered too much. There is limited seating available.

This is a good place to taste seafood in varied cuisines from Italian to Indian. The service is great, the ambiance is soothing, however be prepared to pay slightly higher than the usual you would spend

Fantastic seafood restaurant handily placed at the side of the road. Wonderfully attentive service from a very charming young man. Sadly we are leaving Chennai tomorrow or we would definitely go back.

An average seafood restaurant located on the ECR in Chennai. Ambience is just ok. Not so ample car parking. Good food quality but not so good service.

We had an amazing family dinner and had a blast! We loved the variety of options to try. The service was top-notch, and the staff was super helpful in guiding our dish choices. We kicked things off with Tawa Fish Fry using Vanjaram fish, and then came the soft shell crabs--everyone was raving about them; they were definitely the highlight! For chicken, we enjoyed kung pao chicken, which was really tasty. For the main course, we went for some rice along with Goan Fish Curry, Kerala Veg Curry, and paratha. Yum!
