Abid's Kilpauk

Wednesday afternoon, visit this place for an early brunch! We started off with some complimentary drink. While we were looking at the menu, I was shocked to see a dish that was being made off season and that is Haleem We were suggested to have their so called world, famous chicken Dum biryani , and it turned out that it ain't a world, famous Biriyani, was there nothing in it, the pieces in it were soft and tender. The mutton haleem was pretty good with those caramelised onions on top making it a crunchy and a creamy texture. I wish I had only the haleem maybe a larger portion and not the biriyani. Overall it was good, definitely I'd not recommend the biriyani cuz I didn't like it not sure if the others would like it!!

Average experience.. Briyani is too much masala.. Bread halwa was nice.. Shredded crispy fried chicken was burnt, couldn't eat it.

This is the second and comparatively smaller restaurant in Chennai. We had been there for dinner, we had Abids Hyderabadi chicken as starter, Big prawns dipped in Oyster sauce - both were really great, prawns very juicy and delicious. We ordered Dum Chicken Biryani as main dish and Sweet pudding as desert, both were good. Service people were polite and did their job good. Ambience wise it was small but decent.

Abid's located in kilpauk. We ordered mutton Haleem and murgh irani Tikka. Mutton Haleem is good and tasty. Murgh Irani Tikka is great with medium spice served with green chutney. Tikka is my favourite here. Overall good experience.

Recently visited Abid's and tried a variety of dishes including biryani, a platter, mutton Haleem, reshmi kebab, watermelon juice, and concluded with Kunafa. While the mutton Haleem was heavenly, the rest of the dishes were average. The Kunafa was disappointing and the watermelon juice did not taste fresh. However, the service was amazing, making the overall experience pleasant.

Abids :Simply Am@zing Went to Abids for lunch .When we entered, there was not much of a crowd...The dining area was cool and ambient .We were immediately addressed by the waiters, surfed through the menu card..ordered some dishes. As soon as we received our dishes ,we started to feast .From the soup to the Schezwan, everything were fantastic and fabulous .The highlight which I really enjoyed is ...the dishes were perfectly cooked and weren't short of anything. Deliciously savoured with culinary brilliance. Post dining ,we never felt any discomfort in spite of having a mega nonveg feast .Downside is the pricing for the sea food items (not all items, just few) and the overall dining space is small . Otherwise, Abids is worth every single penny you pay .

Abid's grabs a new land mark in orams road where fewer restaurant are being running for quite long time. The food tastes good and cooked well in Arabic style. Fish finger is top-notch. Ambience is good but upon the serving it would required more attention. Parking is available outside the ship which is again the road side. Considering to other restaurants the cost of the food is high. Recommended.

Really less than average food. Kasuri murgh - A very bland and tasteless gravy. We have added malai based gravies but this was like every ingredient that adds flavour is missed whole cooking. Khuboos - stale , and when served literally broke like papad Quantity literally just 4 small pieces in a chicken starter plate for the price too high. Seekh was dry to core Fried rice again bland though we had ordered Schezwan fried rice Service soul less. When we asked is this the taste really of the gravy as we were really surprised after the tasting it to which he replies in a annoyed tone "this is what the taste will be" We love Abids as we have been to the chetpet branch which is good but this was a down sider
