Customer Reviews & Testimonials

Sathish Govindh

This restaurant is suitable for meal lovers (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals). Unlimited rice is served generously without hesitation. Ghee with Andhra podi at the start of the meal feels really satisfying. Bathroom facilities are available. The food is worth the price.

Name is Andhra Tiffin Room. It's really value for money. I went in at 7 AM and just couple of people were there. Ambience was excellent and food was great. Their mini tiffin was a steal and at just 89 we got a dosa, idly, vada ( all are normal size and not mini) and sweet.

Worth the try Tiffin virunthu, Spl bhojanam are good. Staffs are polite The hotel is very big with enough parking space. There are many small restaurants within the premises. the ambience of main restaurant need to be made better. Hygiene of Rest rooms are poor, which is a great miss.

5 Stars I had a wonderful experience at Amaravathi Hotel (Andhra Hotel). The food was absolutely delicious -- authentic flavors and great variety. A special mention to Shiva, who served us with great hospitality, professionalism, and a friendly attitude. He made our dining experience even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for quality Andhra cuisine and excellent service.

Amaravathy Restaurant, located opposite Music Academy on Cathedral Road, promises authentic Andhra cuisine but, unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. The flavors were far from what one would expect from a reputed Andhra cuisine restaurant. The dishes lacked the characteristic spiciness and depth, and the overall taste was quite underwhelming. While the location is convenient and the ambiance decent, the quality of the food was disappointing. With so many excellent dining options in Chennai, this restaurant needs to significantly improve its flavors and authenticity to attract diners. Would not recommend it unless the food quality sees a major upgrade.

If you're in Chennai and a fan of Andhra food then you must not miss this place. Go for the bhojanam or the meals. Service is fast and food is delicious. You will have to wait to get a table if you're visiting during lunch as this place is packed every single day.

Andhra Tiffin Room, is a relatively new eatery, housed in a cosy nook in the Amaravathi restaurant complex on Cathedral Road. Ideally located for a quick bite of vegetarian snacks, especially the typically Andhra variants, such as Pesarettu, MLA Pesarettu... which comes with Upma filling inside, punnugulu, and Thatte idli with totally awesome sides of different chutneys. Started about 3 months back, notable fact about this place is that it's self service and impeccably clean. Coffee and tea counter staff actually sterilise the davara tumbler before it's filled with the aromatic beverage of your choice. Light on the wallet!
