Erode Amman Mess, Adyar - A Hidden Gem for Non-Veg Lovers! After completing my parents' health check-up, we were looking for a good spot nearby to have lunch. It was lunchtime, and we stumbled upon Erode Amman Mess in Adyar. Oh my god, what an amazing find! We ordered the non-veg meals, and every item was absolutely delicious. The highlights for me were the mango pachadi, parotta with prawn gravy, and the masala omelette -- everything was packed with authentic flavors and tasted homemade. What made it even more special was that my parents, who usually prefer not to eat outside food, absolutely loved it. My dad, especially, is very particular about having an authentic non-veg meal with good meen kuzhambu (fish curry), and he was very much satisfied. If you're around Adyar and craving authentic Tamil Nadu-style non-veg meals, don't miss stopping by Erode Amman Mess! Highly recommended for a soulful, satisfying lunch.

I recently got food delivered from Erode Amman Mess via Swiggy, and it did not disappoint! The Japan Chicken was full of flavor and perfectly cooked, while the chicken drumsticks were juicy and tender. The biriyani was aromatic and flavorful, with just the right spice level. I also tried the kothu porotta with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious--spicy, satisfying, and packed with flavor. The special chicken fry was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Even though it was delivered, everything was still fresh and hot. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving a hearty, spicy meal!

1. Mutton Biriyani 4.5/5 - Biriyani rice was full of flavours, mutton pieces were small and tender. 2. Chicken Biriyani 2/5 - very disappointed, the chicken was very chewy and the pieces were big and not tasty 3. Chicken Chukka - 5/5 - Must Try 4. Vechu Parotta - 5/5 - Highly recommended with empty Salna 5. Japan Chicken - 1/5 - very disappointed, too sweet and chicken looked a bit uncooked- please avoid 6. Kola Urundai - Yummy Over all, recommend highly for mutton dishes and Parotta. Try to go around 12pm to avoid waiting time since it's a small place. Vegetarian meals looked like their best seller, many were having it.

You take a place as it comes right? Or don't you? Well, in India you should. As far as restaurants go, this place is acceptable. It was recommended to us by the driver at Hyatt Regency in Chennai. The food was served on a banana leaf, and the menu is fairly extensive. We had a mutton briyani that was world class, a prawn curry, a curiously Asian Japan Chicken dish, and then came the stars of the show...a coconut pudding thing that was a cross between a jelly and yoghurt, and a chicken and pepper soup Kozhi Rasam (in the tumbler) simply delicious. Go here! PS, went here twice, absolutely consistent, and quick service!

Overall food is good. Moru moru chicken is little hard to chew, mutton pallipalayam, squid pepper fry is very good. Veg meals is decent. Coconut pudding is must try. Special is fish kolambu

Firstly, either we were misled by the reviews, or EAM pays attention to what customers say! We were sure there would be no parking and so when i found that there was valet service and a very polite one at that... my review was already gonna be positive! But then we were seated after a short wait and positive changed to awesome. Overworked by still smiling and good natured people all round. Out of this world food. Kadhirvel who served us, totally read the mix of the group and made it extra special. He didn't think twice to offer me some white rice and appalam although I had ordered the mind-blowing nool parotta. Very very reasonable prices and the continued friendly vibes as we left made sure we would be back! If you wanna show off some south indian classics to out of towners or if u are in the mood to vettufy some spare parts... bro erode amman mess bro

After a lengthy wait, I finally had the opportunity to visit Erode Amman Mess in Adyar. While the restaurant's location in the basement and its ambiance were not particularly noteworthy, with a noticeable AC leak in one corner, our attention was directed towards the food. We opted for their celebrated Japan Chicken, which proved to be a crowd-pleaser, especially among the children, due to its mild flavor. Other standout dishes included Kola urandai, egg vechu, mutton pepper gravy, parotta, and moru moru Prawn. Although the Tandoori Chicken was somewhat of a disappointment, being excessively spicy and not served hot, the overall experience and service were satisfactory. I suggest visiting this cozy restaurant for a pleasant dining experience.

This outlet of Erode Amman Mess is located at Adyar. The Nallampatti chicken rice, japan chicken, biriyani and manglore prawn ghee roast were great. Seperate waiting area are available for takeaway. Portion size can be increased.
