Customer Reviews & Testimonials

The atmosphere is lively, especially in the evenings. The entire street lights up with colorful stalls, the aroma of fresh food fills the air, and you can hear music playing in the background -- it really sets a fun vibe. There's ample seating available and it's kept clean and organized, which makes a big difference when visiting with kids or in larger groups. Some stalls that stood out for me include the tandoori chicken counter, sizzling noodles and fried rice stall, and the chaat corner which serves some of the best pani puri in Ambattur. Don't miss the dessert stalls either -- their kulfis and milkshakes are perfect to end your meal. The pricing is very reasonable, and portion sizes are generous. Most stalls accept digital payments, which is convenient. The staff are friendly and service is pretty fast, even during peak hours. Parking is not a problem, and the location is easy to find. It's a great place to visit casually or even to celebrate small occasions. Overall, Happy Food Street is a fun, safe, and budget-friendly destination for anyone who loves trying different types of food. Highly recommended for families, students, and anyone in or around Ambattur looking for a great evening out!

This was my first time visiting this place, though I've passed by many times. I tried something new called Malai Soya Chaaps, which were delicious--juicy and well-prepared. I'm not entirely sure about the hygiene, but it looked okay from what I saw. It's worth a try as the food was good. What I liked most was that there weren't many big-name brands here, except for Wow Momo. This street gives lesser-known vendors a chance, which is a great initiative compared to offering spaces only to major brands. Those brands can stick to malls. The overall atmosphere was nice, with more self-service options. It was a good experience.

Obviously it's love. There is no proper car parking so it's difficult to park your car. but many food stalls. Unfortunately not all good. But you can enjoy it with friends and family.

The atmosphere at Ambattur food Street is lively and energetic, with a blend of traditional and modern vibes. The street is usually crowded. Vendors line the streets with colorful stalls, and the aroma of various dishes, inviting visitors to explore. The food on offer is a celebration of South Indian cuisine. Expect to find a wide range of dishes, from classic idlis, dosas, and vadas to spicy chaat items and fresh, tangy fruit salads. Specialty items like spicy chettinad dishes and flavorful biryanis are also popular. Each vendor brings their unique touch, making the food street a place of culinary discovery. Service can be quick and efficient. However, as with any busy street food market, patience might be required during peak times. While the food street is generally ok , The vibrant and fast-paced nature of the street can sometimes lead to a bit of messiness. The prices are generally affordable, It's a great place to enjoy a variety of dishes without breaking the bank. Overall, Ambattur Food Street is ok gor me, not saying a must-visit for food enthusiasts looking to experience authentic South Indian street foods, Whether you're a local or a visitor, it's an ideal spot to savor the rich flavors and cultural diversity of Chennai.

Health conscious, hygienically made food. No MSG. No frozen or premade food. Food is cooked upon order and LIVE in the kitchen. That's one of specialities of this place.

We just had a nice experience overall. Had tried from MC Edan, and Hyderabad Hotel and one icecream shop. Edan was congested, but had a variety of food items. Hyderabad, was simply delicious.

I was very delighted to find this kind of food street in Ambattur. As the name suggests food Street i thought it more to be a street food junction rather most shops are running within closed interiors. There are also open stalls like the frankie, the veg tandoori ( where you get soya chaap and paneer), Burmese food stall. I feel these kind of stalls should be more in numbers. They should prefer outdoor seating as well so that we can sit under the sky and enjoy our delicious hot food. You will find all varieties like South Indian, north Indian and eastern Indian dishes. Overall a pleasant place to have a great time during sunset. Cleanliness can be worked more and i feel there should be separate parking provided.
