A restaurant famous for its special Chicken and Mutton Gravy on Sunday mornings. This greenish-yellow non-veg gravy is their signature dish, for which people wait in queues for takeaways (it's available only on Sunday mornings). It gets sold out around 8:30 AM itself! We went for a dine-in breakfast and had idly , idiyappam , parotta , special mutton gravy , and mutton paya . Liked: Their special gravy - it lived up to the hype! Didn't like: The paya, as it was a bit sweet (not like the peppery paya types). If you don't like sweet paya, AVOID ordering it . However, it seems to have a separate fan base. There aren't many options during Sunday mornings. We haven't tried this place during other times. They seem to have a family AC room , which wasn't open during our visit. Service: The service was too slow , mainly because the staff were overwhelmed with parcel orders. One staff member didn't respond properly even after being asked 3 times . Finally, another person came to take our order. It took around 15 minutes for our food to arrive, even though it was just the already-prepared dishes like idly and mutton kurma. If you have the patience to deal with the delays, this place is worth a visit on a Sunday morning before 8:00 AM . Washroom: The washroom isn't very clean . Overall: Despite its flaws, this restaurant is worth trying at least once. You might just end up loving it!

We ordered 1 muuton & 1 chicken biryani & 1 meals .. We found atta puucci in biriyani.. When we complained about this , they are not ready to take action or respose... Very pethatic and unhygienic restaurant.. We strongly not recommend this restaurant

Everything is very good but service is not good... Having a good parking structure... Food Quality is good...

Please don't try chicken Briyani here,they cook chicken only separate boiling.very bad experience and fully oily.

Ordered prawn Biriyani , one biryani enough one person but only 5 small prawn only in the biryani. Worst . Pls order plan biryani

The biryani I had here was the worst I've ever tasted. They charged me about 290 rupees for the chicken biryani, but there was only one piece of chicken in it. It felt like a complete waste of money. Personally i don't recommend this hotel.

I wish I could put in words exactly how much we love suryakala's food for the last 27 years. We reside close by this restaurant and therefore our Sunday mornings wouldn't start without their idly and my most favorite SPECIAL MUTTON KURMA. I never found any other place who serves the best except hotel surya. Right from the mutton consistency and taste, everything is delicious. As a family, this is one of our go to places anytime. Great customer service and food quality. You should also try their mutton briyani, paroto and butter chicken recipes. Affordable and quality food served in North madras. Thank you for always giving us your best quality good.
