Kapila Dasa

A restaurant operated by Das Prakash group of hotels, Mysore. The ambience, service and quality of food were exceptionally good. I had 'kadabu' with ghee and three varieties of chatney and sambar. I also had masala buttermilk with 'pudina'. I enjoyed the food and would love to visit again.

The consistently awesome food, the placid environ and the indulgent and quick service is what makes Kapila Dasa a favourite haunt during lunch times. Would recommend to change nothing of this, just the price, which is a quite a swell. Located in a remote corner of the food court in Express Avenue is Kapila Dasa. Heard that their few seasoned staff are from the erstwhile Dasaprakash and airline catering - very courteous and attentive, that's once you get their attention. A decent vegetarian outlet with a quiet ambience and cozy seating. While most items on their menu are true to their regional flavours, their Italian fare needs refinement. Also, most items are quite overpriced.

Located at the food court if the Express Avenue mall.. pure veg restaurant.. Slow service. Okayish food. Slightly on the expensive side. Do not try lasagna here !! Paneer tikka is good . Dessert menu is too short I felt. Overall menu spread could have been more elaborate to enhance the overall dining experience...

Good South Indian vegetarian restaurant situated in Express Avenue mall. Prices charged for food is at small premium. The restaurant is spacious and clean. Wash area is not so clean. Not crowded during most part of the day. Service is quick. Pleasant atmosphere. Situated near the food court in the top floor.

Food took us by surprise. Menu was distinctive with variety of dosas, podi idly, vadai and Italian section with Veg Lasagna , Augratin and pastas with appetisers like spring roll, cutlets, cheese balls, Gobi manchurian and an Indian curry and bread section (this could use quite the addition, lacked variety) Menus also had a wide variety of cold dessert sundaes, falooda. I had to try all cuisines in the menu. Indian: Tandoori Rotis with Aloo Mutter (didnt know it was semi gravy, expected a gravy) it tasted really good the flavour was really good (nice touch with kasuri methi and tangy too. They could have used less oil, the bowl was shining and soaked in oil. Roti was too dry, hard and thick. We loved the gobi manchurian, Lasagna (unique spinach sheets instead of usual flour based) , the tomato soup had too much added colour. Management team had this blank look , didnt feel welcomed. However the service staff were attentive. Overall, you could visit for a family dinner or lunch with all age group members. Seating is really spacious and good.

Our experience at Kapila Dasa was quite disappointing. We were quite excited to try out the Dasaprakash group of hotels. The ambience was cozy and comfortable and the view was great. We got the butterly Mysore masala dosa and we were given podi dosa instead. Supposedly that's the only version of Mysore masala dosa available. The neer dosa was too salty to eat. The set dosa was the only saviour of the entire night. For the price, the food could be way better.

Do not miss out this place . Purely Butterly podi dosai is utterly buterrly delicious . Cream of brocoli , Gobi Manchurian, chana batura was all yummy and very tasty. Thank u kapila dasa for a wonderful lunch.

When in Express Avenue mall, after an exhaustive shopping or roaming around the mall, the one and only thing you need is good! You will find an amazing indian cuisine here in the restaurant specially for vegetarians! It's inside the mall so if you're planning only for the restaurant then you need to pay for the parking! It has a really good ambience.. really a good place for family visits with good serving staff ! The good tastes good and a bit high on the price ! But worth the visit for a realxing good food.
