Customer Reviews & Testimonials
We came here for lunch last Friday. Upon arriving, we found the place noticeably warmer than the rest of the mall, which was a bit uncomfortable at first. When we checked with the staff, they mentioned it was due to the AC settings. That said, the food was good and the service was excellent. The staff were attentive and courteous throughout. The place was clean and well-maintained--overall, a good spot to dine.
Punjab grill at Velachery, the place had ample dining area, the staffs Kamlesh, Sabuj, Nurul and neeraj were friendly and knowledgeable on suggesting food. Took care of us well. The food was amazing, the meat was so tender and tasted yummy and they even had good vegetarian options which we tried and was good. The price was a little on the upper hand but the taste did its magic along with their wonderful service. P.S. They are having summer special mango season mocktails do try them (my favourite mirchi aam)
Had a fantastic time at Punjab Grill! The food was exquisite, the ambiance was inviting, and the service was impeccable. A special thanks to Nurul for his attentive and courteous service. Looking forward to my next visit!
Worst service! I've been to other Punjab grill across India and by far this is such a miserable place. AC was broken and restaurant smelled worse. Hardly anyone in the restaurant noticed us be it taking order or bringing the food/water nothing was done until we kept pestering them at least 2-3 times. They moved us to two different tables after ordering food. After we are done eating getting bill and finger bowl took us another 20 mins. How many times do we ask people? I'm really frustrated with this service. People who say in our first table ordered after us and they got their food, finger bowl and bill delivered even before us. God awful service!
The Service was really good, we are happy with the dinning experience here and Mr.Sabuj Debnath really served us well, people like him really get Goodwill for the place where they work.
I visited this restaurant after checking google reviews and I was highly impressed by the quality of the food and the professionalism and hospitality of the staff. Mr. SABUJ took was my host for the day and he was excellent in recommending the dishes and always had a smile on his face and was very professional. I had tandoori chicken and achari paneer tikka as starters and it was delicious and succulent that I ended up packing a full plate of the chicken . The decor is simple yet classy and the service is amazing. Would definitely visit again on my next trip to Chennai .
I believe the restaurant may have been understaffed over the weekend, which impacted the overall service. Upon reviewing the menu and the fine-dining ambiance, I had high expectations. However, the staff seemed overwhelmed, to the point that basic requests like tissues were delayed. Additionally, a veg biryani we ordered was missed entirely, and a half tandoori chicken was served instead of the full portion we had originally requested. On a positive note, the staff did promptly correct the mistakes once we pointed them out. That said, when dishes are priced at a premium--like a biryani costing around 1,000--I believe a higher standard of service should be maintained. As mentioned, this may have been a result of understaffing, and I hope the management addresses it soon to avoid compromising customer experience. Lastly, my apologies to the serving team for not leaving a tip this time due to the overall disappointment. Hopefully, I'll have a better experience next time and make up for it with a generous tip.
A place with very high expectations which it fails to deliver. I will recommend non-veg platter, chilli parotta (have chilli flakes over it, not the chinese style), punjab grill paneer masala gravy and garlic naan but the hara bhara kebab, malai kofta (kofta not the gravy) still needs a lot of improvement. The service staffs are too slow and extremely judgy. The atmosphere is Ok and that is why the place is been given 3 stars even though they have good enough food at an extremely expensive price.
