Customer Reviews & Testimonials
I recently visited this hotel, hoping for a delightful experience. While the food was absolutely delicious, capturing authentic flavors and rich taste, the service was a complete disappointment. The staff seemed disorganized, inattentive, and extremely slow. Despite multiple reminders, our order took forever to arrive. Even basic requests like water refills were ignored. The lack of hospitality ruined what could have been an amazing dining experience. If you're here just for the food, it's worth a try, but don't expect good service. Hopefully, the management improves customer care because the kitchen is doing a fantastic job!
Heard that it's a very old hotel. Experience of dine was better than parcel. Their Sambar and chutney tastes just okay. Better than Anandhi idly. Idly, Pongal tasted average. I would rate their service as pathetic and food as average.
Affordable, homely food! This mess is run by a maami (senior lady) who sits at the counter. The food tastes extremely authentic and every dish on the menu is perfectly made. Special mention to their sambar which is Iyer style and their infamous getti (thick) chutney is lip smacking good. Dine in service could be improved. Take away packaging is leak proof, they pack the sides generously.
About Restaurant: Back when the hotel was facilitated by Mani mama it was smooth. Unfortunately after his demise the hotel is in chaos for past years. Maami is always in anger mode making customer feel awkward. The daughter Priya is not concerned at all on her customers. Seems she was a pampered kid. Never has customer serving attitude. I saw her eating when customer was standing in queue and she did not bother to clear the chaos. Worst management. Staffs working here doesn't know queue management. Always creating havoc and misplacing bills and not in mindset to do what owner orders. Totally fully unsatisfactory. Only thing which keeps this restaurant alive is taste. Hope it never diminishes. Zomato Feedback: Prices are too high. This is very unsatisfying. Already we are paying Delivery charge. Buying one set of Poori for 40rs by walkin and 75rs at Zomato with delivery charges makes it worse. Management needs to look at this.
Good food with reasonable price. My bad luck katti chutney was not available today Sambhar also good
Bought one idiyappam set for my kid who was hospitalized in near by children's hospital. The parcel was made in a Newspaper with a small plantain leaf inside and no carry bag was given when even asked. But they charged Fifty Rupees for one set of idiyappam with Old News Paper packing. Atlast I was carrying that one set with veg kurma in my hand to the hospital.. Horrible!! Even the food was not good. Idiyappam was not soft, should be cooked in the morning for breakfast!! Very poor. Won't recommend to anyone
Very good vegeterian hotel at camp road, selayur. Taste is very good. Small dine in. Fair price. For Break fast idli, poori, dosa, pongal, vada, coffee items are there. For dinner parotta, dosa, idli, kothu parotta, chappathi items are there. Items are very good. Because of small dine, always crowded. Thats the only one negative in this hotel. Other than this, all are good with this hotel. Try it with your peoples.
I did ordered on zomato first. Was very skeptical how the food will be as it was very cheap comparatively online.. but to my surprise it was damn good so wanted to visit this place in person .. small 15 20 seater place but so crowded at 8AM on sunday... all food on the menu is worth buying.. medhu vada is just amazing.. dont miss it.Ask for getti chutney
