Spice Trail - Telugu Vari Ruchulu Andhra Meals, Chicken Biriyani, Tandoori, South Indian Food

Dissatisfied! The biryani just had 1 piece of chicken and since it was a takeaway I couldn't ask why?

After searching for a place serving hot and spicy Andhra cuisine, I settled on Spice Trail in Egmore. Excitement surged as I perused the menu and opted for the chicken Meals with Andhra green chicken. The meals arrived 15 minutes later, handled by a sole individual taking orders and delivering the food. Unfortunately, the culinary experience was a letdown. The Andhra chicken curry, made with coconut paste, was an unfamiliar deviation, and the green chicken fell short of expectations. The only saving grace was the chicken fry accompanying the meals. Disappointingly, other items like sambar and Urundai Kara kuzhambu were below average. Despite the restaurant's name, the overall experience did not reflect authentic Andhra cuisine.

The quantity they're serving for the price is shocking. Ordered a non-veg meal (Rs 189) which includes fish, crab and chicken. They diced the fish so tiny, I practically had to go on a deep sea expedition to find a small morsel in my bowl. I was happy to see the crab claws they served were not crushed to pieces. However, the crab was so empty, I might as well have been cracking open thin air. Now the chicken performed a vanishing act on my plate - they were missing. I quickly requested for the magic trick to be complete. I damn myself for asking that because the chicken served infront of me was no better than fish feed. So basically I got screwed and I request everyone else looking for a satiating meal to skip this place. Oh and yes when I questioned the owner about the outrageous price for such a cheap plate of food, he smoothly replied that they are charging for the "oh so delicious" gravies. (The gravies were pathetic).

I had a very bad experience with this restaurant. Parking: 2 cars or 8-10 bikes can be parked at a time - (4/5) Ambience: Good!! Visited pretty early at 7PM for dinner. Place was totally empty and calm- (4/5) Food: All the items that I ordered were either burnt or half cooked - (0/5) Garlic Chicken: Half cooked !! Masala didn't blend with chicken properly Pan fried Chicken: Fully Burnt !! Utter waste of money. Butter Naan: Half of the pieces were burnt. The rest of the pieces didn't have enough butter at all Punjabi Chicken Gravy: It's nowhere near Punjabi Chicken gravy. It was more like mirchi gravy with chicken pieces Hospitality: - Average (3/5) Added the photos of the dish. Do yourself a favor by not visiting this place.

Spice trail Decent and calm ambience with proper seating arrangements . Bike parking is there. Car parking is not there . Andhra based restaurant and having little spice Andhra touch in every dish . Proper Hyderabad Briyani and non veg meals . nice place to go with family. ZOMATO is available and food with great teast.

It's Christmas Eve so we planned to have some spicy lunch. The first thing came in mind is Andhra food and it should be near. Those who really wanted to taste the spice of Andhra, then Spice trail is the best. Firstly, the ambience.. this place looks very good inside. To attract the customers they have show cased some olden like ancient picture of madras aka Chennai. And also have kept the olden utensils which were used for cooking. Secondly, the service.. It was really hard to communicate with the people who work inside as most of them were Telugu and Nepali Guys. But they were really active while working. The next is food.. the vegetarian full meal is not as spicy as the non-vegetarian food. And finally the people inside were so friendly and it was a bon appetite.

Here we had Andhra full meals,mutton briyani and chicken.Meals was so tasty and worth for the penny expensed.Briyani was so spicy and tasty but the quantity offered was less.Same in case of chicken.Apart from food their ambiance was good and their customer service was also good.Overall it's good spot to have a dine with your families and friends.

The biriyani was amazing there. Don't miss trying their biriyani. Chinese starters was also amazing but can't beat the biriyani taste there.
