Customer Reviews & Testimonials

We went for a Team Dinner. Limited starter platter options for non veg, only 4. But excellent in Taste. We repeated those platers multiple times. Staffs are very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our Dinner. Lot of deserts and fruit salads available..

Good service and nice atmosphere but the food is below average. None of the dishes were great, and they had limited dishes. If you are looking for atmosphere, this is good spot as there wasn't crowde on weekends but if you're looking for good food then you should skip this restaurant.

We were a team of 15 who visited Spice for lunch. We opted for buffet. The starters were served at table and the repeat was fast. The menu supported 5 Veg starters and 5 non veg starters. Main course had a decent variety ranging from south indian, North Indian and Chinese. The desserts were more in number and delicious. The ambience is perfect and service is decent.

We had team dinner at Spice. The food taste is good just like any other buffet. Apart from that you can have flavour of chettnadu, Malabar and continental. The salad are different but it is cold and dry. There many varieties in desert and it also taste good. The ambience is good. The service can be better particularly in terms of customisable seating arrangement based on numbers. Valet parking is available. Overall good but can be better.

Located in the ground floor of Hablis Hotel in Guindy. Small slightly old themed restaurant. Tested their dinner buffet spread. Starters are limited (04 Veg and Non-veg each). Main course and dessert section are extensive in comparison. Tastewise starters are ok. But main course is very good and every dish has got different texture and taste. Dessert is equally good and the point worth mentioning is that none of the items are on the much sweeter side. Staffs are courteous. Service is quick. But still rated 03 out of 05 because it's damn expensive and I've noted cockroach nuisance in the dessert spread area, which is not sign of good hygiene. Paying this much for this buffet spread will disturb you a bit. Final verdict- can be given a chance only if in bucket list, otherwise not.

Good buffet option, starters are prepared and served during dine in making it fresh. Good vegetarian options and varieties. Limited items but each one is curated enough for a decent buffet. The ambience is calm and excellent service.

Spice used to be one of our favourite restaurants for special occasions. However, today's dinner buffet was highly disappointing. The prawn salad bowl that I picked up had gone bad. Whereas my husband's dish tasted fine. When we brought it to the waiter's notice he argued that it was the normal smell of prawns. Later the Chef came and told us that he'll check and went away. Nobody offered a proper apology. Not the behaviour and service expected from a 5-star hotel. As for the rest of the buffet there were hardly any mutton pieces left in the biriyani and the dessert bar was half empty. The starters were good however there were only 3 options that were repeated only when asked. Overall it was a bad experience. We are definitely not visiting again.
